“Had a wonderful relaxing holiday”
Reviewed 5 February 2014 for a stay in July 2013

We had a lovely relaxing stay at the house. The House itself is very well equipped with everything you would ever need in a kitchen! The dining space was of a good size in the kitchen and the patio area outside was fab! Parasol much needed to shade out the sun, enough space for the boys to play about under our supervision as they are still young (3 and 5 yrs). The living room was very cosy with Tv and lots of dvds to choose from for adults and children with a selection of books to read also. The smaller bedroom was of a good size and suited the boys perfectly, the master bedroom was huge loved it very comfortable! There was a bathroom upstairs and down stairs both were super clean and had baths and showers in both, great.
The location was on he outskirts of a small village no real shops etc but there was a large town about 20 mins drive away with shops, markets, supermarket, restaurants aplenty. The little roads around the house were very quiet and we went for lots of walks in the cooler part of the day, very beautiful setting discovered small woodland walk and tiny church with wild flower meadow nearby. The little village did have a large football pitch and around the corner from the house was a small picnic area with plenty of room for a kick around with the boys. Driving to the sea was about an hour, lots of beautiful beaches (advice is given in the 'things to do and places to visit' book in the house.) We did visit lots of picturesque towns and villages with castles in the area (sorry I can't remember all the names, but I'm sure my husband does!) Also a must if you are travelling with kids is Puy du fou its amazing (bring a picnic food pricey and not good!)
No real downsides, except the wilderness garden attached to the garden, when we stayed the grass etc was long and the kids couldn't play in it, but the cherry trees were heavy with fruit they were great! No pool but we didn't want the worry of having a pool with small children.
Overall great house with great location.
