The location is nice if you want to be away from the crazy traffic of Thamel. Westernized rooms, but need updates. Overpriced for sure. For what you pay at the basic level, you do not receive breakfast or wifi. Wifi is a daily charge at nearly $8. Also be weary of some tricks they will pull to nickel and dime you. I ate at the restaurant, ordered two items in one sitting and they put them on separate bills to get the extra service charge and tax. While it isn't expensive, it's a dishonest move I found to be disrespectful. Wifi I was told I would be comped because of a room issue (busted AC) and I had to switch rooms, the charge still appeared. Broken AC in the first room, broken safe in the 2nd. The fitness center is about the only perk and the cozy bar. However, the bartenders are untrained in cocktails and you are basically drinking a straight shot.
I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. You will get more for your dollar and have a pleasant stay at one of the smaller boutique hotels, I would have stayed in Thamel longer and put up with the crazy streets had I known. If you are looking for something that is westernized and worth the price, the Hyatt is a better choice.
