I've been in San Pedro La Laguna several times and I can't believe I miss this place so long! Is a little spot you can find very easily. The food here is amazing!! Can't wait to go back and try more. The owner is very friendly and that makes the experience here fantastic. You can have a really nice time, very nice music if you're lucky and exquisite food! Don't miss it! I bet if you try, you will want more. Surely I do!

Thank Andrea J

Fantastic little roadside Japanese eatery. Owner is just a great guy, always chatting with everyone that walks past and is one of the friendliest people you will meet. Food is great value and delicious, definitely would return!

We were walking aimlessly thru San Pedro we noticed a little Yakitori shack and had to stop. We've yet to find good Japanese good in Guatemala, but here it is. You can't beat the price and the owner is terrific. Definitely stop by for a snack and a Chat!

Yakitori de Cava is a petit food stand serving authentic Japanese yakitori and oyako don in this lakeside town. Ran by the Japanese owner, Cava, this food stand opens from Tuesday to Saturday, between 11:30AM to 16:30PM.

Food:
Food choices include freshly grilled yakitori (both chicken and veggie version), a variety of "dons" (rice covered with different ingredients), and miso soup. Food is prepared right on the spot, hence it may take a bit time to fulfill your appetite. Both yakitori and oyako don taste authentically nice and come in decent portion. I also recommend Cava's miso soup, which he makes daily to ensure best quality. It's not overly salty and the smoothness of the miso paste can actually be appreciated via each sip.

Atmosphere:
Cava, probably the friendliest guy in town, relocated to Guatemala a couple years ago. He can communicate in both Spanish and English (and Japanese, of course.) Chatting with Cava and learning a thing or two from his life is always a delight.

Just Some Tips:
Try Cava's Macha. True Japanese classic.
