I stayed here as my first choice (Casita Corcovado) had sprung a leak and they rebooked me into Jademar.
The staff here are super-friendly - it feels like a real family business. When the A/C in my first room wasn’t working, I moved in a blink of an eye, and they were very helpful with ideas for trips, walks and travel arrangements. They also kept my valuables safe.
I stayed in room 5 with air conditioning. It was large with a double and a single bed - the mattress on the double was super-comfy! - and a wet room separated by a couple of curtains, which suited me fine. The A/C was great too - not loud or aggressively cold - and kept the mozzies away. Outside is a veranda with padded benches and beautiful tropical gardens - perfect for whiling away an afternoon after an early and busy morning adventuring! The room was cleaned daily and the shower was hot - what more can you ask for? On the downside, there is no-where to put or hang clothes so you are pretty much living out of your suitcase.
It’s in the centre of the village so super-close to everything, and although breakfast isn’t included the Heladeria next door serves one for $7.
Definitely recommended for a cheaper, more basic but comfy stay on the Osa Peninsula.
