For the price and location, I thought the hostel was overall a great deal. There is a bar as well, where locals and tourists go out to at night. Because of this, there is very very loud music being played into the wee hours of the night. As long as you don't mind the noise (which is probably the same at any other Dominical hostel), I would definitely recommend staying here.
My only issue was that we paid extra for a room with A/C and private bathroom ($45/night) and the air conditioner broke a few hours into our stay.

We stayed there during low season, the guy who was in charge gave us a dorm all to ourselves. The beds were comfy, but the room is all made of concrete, and would be small if all 6 beds were occupied. It's dark and humid, so its hard to get your things dry, especially if you're there during rainy season.

Hopefully, we had 2 fans, and you can hang the clothes in the sun during the day. Small kitchen not well equipped but with the basic so you can cook simple meals and save.

The location is great at its almost on the beach, there are 2 super friendly dogs there and the surf shop let me rent my board for $5 a day since we were sleeping there :)

Overall good value if you dont mind the "dungeon" feel of the rooms, as the proximity and friendliness of the staff compensate for it :)

We rented boards there, and where most places in Dominical rent them for $10 per day and have pretty decent boards, the guy there wanted to charge us $20/day, eventually going down to $13.50/day and we just took the boards because we wanted to get out on the water rather than search around (and our hotel was closer to the shop and we didn't want to have to walk a long way with the boards).

Thankfully, for TripAdvisor, I can advise people to stay away from the surf-shop shyster there, as not only did he charge more than other people, he also gave us one board that had probably 30 dings on it and was a reconstructed broken board. Another board was a recontructed one as well and in decent-at-best condition. Only one was truly passable. Stay away.

Que nivel is the best place you can stay while in dominical!! the bar is so much fun at night that you dont need to wander to far back to fall asleep--also right by the ocean so you can get up..grab breakfast across the street and be in the water in no time! the staff is amazing... if you get to meet taylor, the owner, she is really knowledgable about the area, country and more and is just a fantastic host/person!! nothing fancy here but clean, affordable and fun!! can't go wrong with choosing que nivel
