Our visit happened to coincide with Spring Training so our hotel had the Kanas City Royals players. They were poilite and did not cause and trouble. There were also many Spring Training visitors. It was an enjoyable stay. When in the area, be sure to go to the Musical Instrument Museum. Fabulous!!

Our stay was nice. Not exceptional. Everything was clean and the service was good. My main complaint is the traffic pattern at this hotel. You always feel like you are in someone’s way or walking into someone. Whether it is taking the elevator, walking in the hallway or reaching for your breakfast in the morning guest service area. I never realized how important that can be. Someone missed it greatly at this place. I’d suggest having your traffic areas reconfigured wherever possible. It makes one feel u comfortable. Everyone was saying excuse me, all the time and it wasn’t even crowded!

We stayed here for 3 nights... $503. We had a two room suite which was great. However, the whole place is rather dated. I think the couch was from the late 50's (seriously) it was a little worn but in decent shape. The shower could be either removed and redone or it needs a board under it. I weigh 150 and the bottom of the tub was moving and making all kinds of noise.

Staff was nice and efficient. Breakfast was fair.

6:00 last Thursday morning, the grounds crew decided to trim the hedges outside our room with gas powered trimmers. The noise lasted over an hour with many hedges to be trimmed and then the gas blower clean-up. Made the morning very difficult with the kids and then to go see grandma...

I mentioned to the manager upon checkout and she responded that she knew about it and didn't offer anything for the inconvenience. Poor customer management for not attempting to rectify.

I also heard one other customer interaction where they were credited with a nights stay. How does the business determine who is given credit when something isn't right!

Room Tip: The hotel is near a train track. Trains blow horns multiple times throughout the night and will wake you up.

Front desk was very inflexible about enforcing checkin no earlier than 3pm for the reason that rooms were not ready, even only a few minutes to 3pm. All the rooms magically became available right at 3pm.
We stay at Choice properties whenever we can. This hotel's free breakfast was the best of most we've been at. Attendants were very good, and seemed to care we had a good breakfast experience.
