“Great food -great views and great company”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 April 2012

We stayed in the Georgia O'Keefe suite for 3 nights and could not have chosen better for our first visit to Arizona.. The suite has everything you could possibly need and I was topped up with english breakfast tea regularly -thanks :) Carrie and Mark are friendly and welcoming and it was great to sit on the patio watching the birds, enjoying the fantastic red rock views and meeting other happy guests while sharing a beer. Early morning coffee is a great idea and the breakfasts were delicious and plentiful. The Tuesday breakfast out at the golf club was also very successful. I would recommend this B&B to anyone visiting the area and hope to visit again some day.

Room Tip: North facing rooms face the red rocks and the patio

This is a WAY-WAY-WAY PAST DUE BIG THANK YOU for taking the time to share your “cozy experience” with potential future “Cozies”. We are having an amazing year, and as it is just the two of us, it seems that there are just not enough hours in the day to do everything we want…like write personal responses. However, we wanted to say thank you and we know that you know that even if this is a “generic” thank you, we know that you know it comes from the heart and we can’t wait for your return. Hugs, Hugs, and yes Tequila toe kisses. Carrie, Mark and woof – Tequila our rescue Goddess!

While the B&B is currently small, they are expanding to add 2 more rooms. We had one of the two 2 BR suites which worked out great for us and my sister-in-law. The inn is out of the hustle of downtown Sedona, yet just a few minutes away from any attraction, store or restaurant. Innkeepers Mark & Carrie are enthusiastic and friendly. Breakfast was very good. The rooms quiet, clean, comfortable. But the icing on this cake is the backyard. Sit out with coffee in the AM or cocktail in the PM and stare right at Bell Rock. You are backed up to US Forrest Service land so hiking, photography or animal watching is all right there. This was our sencond visit and the Cozy Cactus is now on our list of favorites for us to cycle thru periodically.

Room Tip: I prefer mini-suites with kitchenettes, as the inn has.

After staying at the Cozy Cactus for the seventh time in five years, we wondered if we might have run out of superlatives. We have not. This has become a true home away from home for us, for all our Sedona sojourns. We would not consider another. Mark and Carrie Peterson are the heart and the soul of the experience. The location of this bed and breakfast is, in one word, incomparable. All of the necessary comforts are present, and many more. And did we mention the breakfasts(?!!), which keep us going for most of the rest of the day, even those days when we embark on one of Sedona's endlessly stunning hikes, some of which you can access from the Cozy Cactus back door. We are already locked in for our next visit. Paul and Susan.

Room Tip: All rooms are comfortable. Rooms on the back of the building have the red rock view in the photo.

First….thank you Susan and Paul for your very kind words (we love you guys, as you have become like family) and we can’t wait for stay number eight.

Second….I’m sure you got a chuckle from the review (non-guest review) that came after yours, as the two you on every visit have been guilty of socializing with other guests on the patio; with a glass or two of fine wine I believe.

And last….. Paul after jumping out of an airplane for your 70th Birthday, we can’t wait to hear what you’re going to do for 71? Cheers!

Great view of the red rocks, and of the morning sunrise, from the back patio! Hosts were very nice and accommodating, sharing little extras with us and happily making recommendations as to places to eat. The beds were very comfortable, and every detail for comfort had been thought of. Definitely recommend!

Once again, Carrie and Mark played an instrumental role in a great getaway (this time from our toddler). We were pregnant both this and the last time we stayed at the Cozy Cactus, and they were very accommodating (especially with having a nice full pot of decaf coffee ready in the morning).

We upgraded this time to one of the suites that looks out on Bell Rock, and were so glad we did. We greatly enjoyed the fireplace, the TV with built-in DVD, and the extra space. The breakfasts were terrific as always, and we met really interesting travelers each day.

We'd recommend this B&B to anyone looking for a wonderful getaway. Carrie and Mark pay attention to the details, and go above and beyond in making sure your stay is excellent. If we were ever to open our own B&B, we'd model it on the Cozy Cactus.

Room Tip: The suites are worth the extra rate. They have much more space, and a spectacular view.
