We have stayed here every time we come to Sedona and the place has been greatly improved over the years. The rooms have been upgraded and the landscaping is gorgeous. The rooms on the West and Northwest perimeter have awesome views.
Another thing this hotel has going for it is tranquility. It is the last thing on a dead end road to the airport, which does not have commercial flights. Gusts here are away from the crowds and chaos of the main drag of Sedona but just up the mesa from it.
The hotel has a wine/beer bar open afternoons and evenings and there is a good restaurant at the airport, a short walk, which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, with full liquor service.
The place, and Sedona in general, have gotten lots busier over the years. Try to plan a couple months ahead if you want to stay here…and you do.

The view from the deck of the room was magnificent. We sat on the deck to watch the sun set and just drink in the beauty of Sedona, as well as a glass of wine from the on-site bar. The gardeners maintain the trees etc. to enhance the view, quite the attention to detail. The hotel itself is a bit of a throwback in style, certainly not luxurious but very comfortable. We had a deluxe king with a rim view. The parking was convenient and free. The complex is made up of several individual units with 4 rooms in each. Th garden units have front porches overlooking the lovely gardens, and are very quaint. There is a very nice pool and hot tub and a beautiful overlook area which is open to guests except when booked for weddings and events. Our room had a very nice, recently updated bathroom with a large shower with a rain shower head. No bath tub, but that suited us fine. The room itself had a good bed and had been recently repainted and modernized. It was generously sized with a king bed, a table and chairs, an easy chair and fireplace, and even a built in desk area! The towels were good size, and everything was spotlessly clean. Additional pros: there was good lighting; everything worked; the desk staff was friendly; there were adequate outlets; there was lots of counter space for all the stuff we travelers carry, but only two drawers; wi-fi is free. There is a small kitchen with microwave, mini fridge and sink. This property is a bit out of the Sedona shopping and tourist area. This may be a pro if you like it quiet, or a con if you want to be where the action is. The Mesa Grill is within walking distance and is a good stop for breakfast, a casual meal or a cocktail, and there are other good restaurants a short drive away. Bottom line, next time we visit Sedona we will likely stay here again.

Room Tip: Not all rooms have a view, you need to request it when you reserve if that is important to you.

We booked this due to the reviews I saw online and the price. It is an ideal lodge with spacious rooms, however, the bathroom we had was tiny. If you can, book one of the newly renovated rooms which overlook the fantastic view from this site. Everything was very clean and well-presented. The view from the outdoor sitting area is amazing. The kids used the pool and were happy with it. We really liked the location.

Sky Ranch Lodge is a great lodge overlooking Sedona proper. The views are amazing and the facilities are well kept. The rooms are somewhat dated but if you are visiting Sedona who plans on staying in their room? Our room contained a kitchenette with the needed essentials, ie. wine glasses, refrigerator and such to make the stay more enjoyable. The Lodge has a bar with seating outside for guests to enjoy the views as well as the company. Service by the front desk was excellent.
There are laundry facilities onsite for those dirty clothes from hiking the outdoors. We will definitely look to the Sky Ranch Lodge for lodging next visit to Sedona.

Room Tip: The town shuts down at 9:00 p.m. so plan accordingly.

We rested here for one night after a long day in Sedona and before heading to the Grand Canyon the following day. Despite our short visit we were pleased to see how roomy the rooms were:) traveling with kids and lots of luggage it was nice to be able to spread our belongings out and regroup before hitting the road. Kids enjoyed the pool and parents enjoyed the short walk to the gorgeous view point to watch the sunset behind the red rocks. Close to town and all the restaurants and grocery stores
