“Great hike”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 May 2012

This is a great hike. The creek and the red rocks and the trees all together are great. It is also a reasonably easy hike for the whole family.

“Easy hike and cool even when it's hot.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 May 2012

Very easy hike through the canyon. The trail crosses the creek several times so you will need to be a little careful. There are no real bridges. Some spots are crossed by walking on rocks, others are done by walking on trees or logs that have been place down. Most are not hard to cross and if you find a walking stick it is very easy to do. It felt nothing like Arizona desert or red rock areas which are only a few miles away. It reminded me of hiking in New England. Highly recommed this trail as part of your trip to Sedona

“Shady and fun!”

Trail crosses creek about a dozen times during 3 miles into canyon. Bring a snack and a bathing suit to really enjoy the creek.

“A beautiful walk!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 April 2012

I have arthritis and can't go hiking but I walked for 2 miles on this trail. It is mostly level and criss crosses a creek many times. Handy to have a walking stick for balance. The scenery changes often and we really enjoyed it. The stream was low in early April but it gets much deeper later on.

“Easy and Scenic Walk”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 April 2012

This trail is a nice family "hike". You don't need hiking boots and it is at the bottom of a canyon. Walking along and across the river is lovely. We found a great rock and ate our lunch while our feet dangled above the river. We hiked in for an hour, so we didn't go all the way to the end, but got a good sense of the scenery: the river beside us and the canyons above us. We brought our teenagers, but it is certainly doable for young kids or other non-hikers.
