“Good value special and baseball.”
Reviewed 10 March 2012

Right in old town Scottsdale. Popular spot with lots of Cactus League memorabilia on the walls. We walked in with no reservations on a Thursday night. Was told it'd be a wait unless we ate in the bar. No problem. Lots of activity. Had the special which is a green salad ( very crisp, cold and delicious) an 8oz culottes steak and a loaded baked potatoe. $26 each. Had to send my steak back to get it to medium rare but otherwise all was good.n

“Tired old steakhouse”
Reviewed 8 March 2012

The walls may be covered in baseball memorabilia, and the place may have a long-standing reputation, but the food is so-so. Not sure what all the fuss is about.

“Better than I expected”
Reviewed 26 February 2012

I had low expectations and the menu looked pretty limited. But the service was just right and the food was great. Prices are reasonable, especially for downtown Scottsdale.

“great memorabilia”
Reviewed 26 February 2012

I saw this restaurant written up in the Arizona Highways Magazine's latest issue. As I am a huge baseball fan I decided to visit. Very nice decor, recently re-done, and the sports memorabilia on the walls did not detract from the overall feeling of the place but added to it. I have been to Old Town where this restaurant is located many times and never noticed this restaurant right on the main drag.
The server was very good and allowed me to take as many pictures as I wanted. The food was just average, but we did go there for lunch, and they are supposed to be known for their steaks. The burgers were good, but the potato salad had little flavor. I do plan to return for dinner.
It was not busy at all, but surrounding restaurants with large outside seating areas were much busier.
I loved the feel of the place and the bar area.

“Well Done”
Reviewed 17 February 2012

Somewhat of a Scottsdale tradition that we lucked into just wandering around Old Scottsdale. Neat sports memorabilia that doesn't distract from good food and service at a reasonable price. Much enjoyed.
