Great stay — we came back for a second time! It’s a Courtyard by Marriott — so a nice hotel at a good price point.

The one pool is medium size and not fancy. Unfortunately one large loud family with a constantly whining child hurt that this year — but it’s good for reading and getting sun and relaxing in.

The bistro was excellent this year - great breakfast- kudos to all the staff.

It’s not really near anything but it’s not far either. Numerous restaurants are about three miles away. The hotel has a shuttle that leaves hourly to take you wherever you want in about a three mile radius. They will pick you up too. Depending on how many trips they had and traffic it could be a 30 minute wait for pick up though— free is great but it’s not the most efficient transportation.

New to us were the bikes around town — Lime and Ofo. Download an app and you can use the bikes for 1-2$/ hour. There are a ton around so it’s easy to ride one place, drop your bike, and pick them up another place. There are bike lanes and trails so it’s a very bike friendly city. For ice cream lovers Baskin Robins is an easy bike ride away along the Bike Path

For running and biking we found the best way was to go down Pima Road to Chaparral Road (south I believe) which is maybe 1/4 mile then go to the other side of Pima road and turn right on the bike route which is just on the other side — it starts looking like a sidewalk. That connects to a beautiful trail along a golf course and a park and gets you close to lots of things.

It seems well run and clean... kudos!

Another awesome at #saltrivercourtyard! Ann and Desiree went out of their way to make our family feel special while celebrating both kids birthdays! Also- their hotel mascot went on a little adventure with us this morning. He likes the avo toast at their awesome bistro! #javiersadventures

I am a Marriott platinum member and stay in a lot of Courtyards, this one rivals some of Marriott's best properties (across all their brands). Brought family (wife and kids, 11 & 14) here for spring break as a resting place and we were blown away by the hospitality. At check in the Manager played a table hockey game with my son and gave him a prize from the market, she had him hooked from the start. Later that evening a hand written note with a warm plate of cookies showed up at our door welcoming us for the week. Every morning at the Bistro the staff took time to not just serve us but got to know our family. Small touches like the rock painting, the live singing in the evening, and the pool (oh wow the pool) make this vacation feel like home. Amazing customer experience in everyway...we will be back!

Jeanne, one of the front desk managers, went WAY out of her way to make sure I was taken care of. When I arrived, she said, "I have good news and bad news." The good news was a free upgrade to a beautiful Executive King Suite with a balcony. The bad news was, even though I was told over the phone prior to arrival that I could have an early check-in, in the interim trip from the airport to the hotel, the occupants of the room requested a late check-out. Jeanne could tell I was quite upset and exhausted from my trip, so she gave me a "FREE UNLIMITED STARBUCKS COFFEE" refill gold "Courtyard Marriott" mug, good for my entire 5 night and 6 day stay! On top of that, she comped my lunch at the BISTRO, the in-hotel restaurant. Speaking of the BISTRO, they have the best, homemade food you will find ANYWHERE! Mauro, the restaurant manager, was extremely hospitable during my entire stay. He was always friendly and eager to recommend various items from the menu. The reuben sandwich, breakfast burrito, quesadillas, and lemon blueberry pancakes were all EXCEPTIONAL. The convenience of this hotel to SALT RIVER FIELDS at TALKING STICK, and OLD TOWN SCOTTSDALE, courtesy of the free hotel shuttle, made getting around SUPER EASY! I HIGHLY, HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend this establishment!!!
