“Good but not as polished as other Four Seasons”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 July 2012

I enjoyed my 2-night stay at the Four Seasons Scottsdale. The room was large, comfortable and the pool was wonderful.

I am by no means a Four Seasons snob but have stayed in a few resorts over the years. The Four Seasons Scottsdale is comparatively staffed by very young people who aren't quite as polished as some of the staff in other resorts. While mostly professional, many also didn't have issues conducting personal conversations while on the job.

Like other Four Seasons, though, this hotel came with some nice extras, like complimentary watermelon, freezies and smoothies at the pool. The hotel is quite secluded and extremely family-oriented so definitely not for anyone wanting to be in the thick of all the action.

We just returned from a 3 day 48th anniversary trip to the Four Seasons at Troon North in Scottsdale, AZ. The Four Seasons didn't disappoint us in any way. The service from the minute you pull up until you leave was exceptional. They know how to treat people and go out of their way to do so. The food at the resort was wonderful, the pool beautiful and the room delightful. I can't say enough about how nice the pool attendants were every day during our stay. About every hour they bring a different treat while you are at the pool and are constantly bring new pitchers of fresh ice water for you to drink. It was very nice to have an adult pool although there were really not very many children at the pool.

The breakfast was one of the best I have had anywhere and it was served with a smile by the wait staff.

All in all we could not have had a nicer anniversary trip, we'll be back!

This is an amazing resort. The staff is the friendliest group of people, and want to do nothing but help you. The prprerty is amazing, from the landscaping to the great rooms and decor. The pools are amazing, and the free excursions/classes are a real treat and should not be missed.I have not a single complaint. One of the best places i have ever stayed in.

My partner and I recently discovered this property. It was incredible! The experience was first rate in every regard. The staff was gracious and very friendly -- everyone. The decor was perfect and everything was well maintained. The landscaping itself was a gift. Everything is so in synch with the surroundings. We both felt as if we had been dropped into a lush resort in the Grand Canyon or somewhere naturally stunning. I used the term "Pueblo village" in describing the property. Everywhere we looked ... walked ... we were surrounded by eye candy. And the views of the valley (only a 30 minute drive from Phoenix proper) were stunning -- as were the sunsets and sunrises. The pools were fabulous, and everything -- EVERYTHING -- was clean and welcoming. We will return here again and again, and I recommend the Four Seasons Troon North wholeheartedly.

The only minor drawbacks were limited options for dinners off property. Nearby is Cave Creek, which offered several options, but after a couple of nights, you might get tired of heading to the same town for dinner. Again, it's a short enough drive to Scottsdale, so you could head there. We were just being lazy!

And I would offer to the hotel this small suggestion: keep the music on the patio, outside of the main lobby -- a bit lighter. On our last night, we were going to enjoy music, coffee and dessert there (because the view is SO INCREDIBLE!); however, there was a live band with a singer, and the volume for a relatively small space was simply too much. In fact, the singer was too amplified and you could pretty much hear her everywhere (including in the men's room!) She wasn't awful, but she wasn't that good. Perhaps the Four Seasons could attract Mosaico Flamenco to play at the property. We used to enjoy them often -- when in AZ -- at the Doubletree at Gainey Ranch. They are a most delightful group, and we have been disappointed to not be able to find them performing at venues in and around Phoenix.

Again, the Four Seasons Troon North is a winner. Go! You won't regret it.

Room Tip: Go with a second floor room in the little individual buildings. Your view will be the reward.

I have never written a review, but feel compelled because of our great stay at the Four Seasons. This was the perfect girl’s getaway. We hiked nearby Pinnacle Peak in the morning, spent all day in the misted cabanas by the pool and enjoyed happy hour each night at Onyx. The staff at the pool, the guys at the bar and the front desk personnel made every effort to take care of the little things so we could enjoy our vacation. The room was spacious with a gorgeous view, the pool was quiet, but had a great vibe and amazing snacks delivered throughout the day, the coffee service every morning was just enough, and the view at night of the hawks and stars was amazing. If you are looking for pampering, personal touches and relaxation away from the big resorts – this is the place! We will be back!

Room Tip: Stay near the pool and restaurants to save some walking during the hotter months.
