Everything we had was great. Filet on volcanic stone, risotto Nero and paella were big highlights. The paella takes 40-45 as shown on the menu but is definitely worth waiting for.

Servers were so nice, and so fun.
The location right next to the Central Park is amazing for people watching - sit outside on a Saturday night!

We’re on our honeymoon and had just a few days in Banos but we went back a second time for dinner because we had such a great time!

Great place! We are in Banos for 5 weeks and keep returning to Amarelo. Great food and a wonderful staff (Orlando, Cynthia and David) who are great to talk with and make you feel at home. Our favorite place is on the porch overlooking the park while enjoying drinks and meeting other travelers. The timbal of grilled octopus and avocado, tenderloin carpaccio and shrimps a la arrabbiata are all very tasty!

A group of 10 of us ate here, but had to split up as there were no tables large enough. Not a problem.

Service was quite slow - they forgot some drinks throughout the meal, and it took quite a long time for the food to arrive, but perhaps thats because it was quite busy when we arrived.
The food itself was fine. Nothing outstanding but not terrible either. I had a steak which was cooked nicely with some sauces on the side. There was also a very small side salad which was drenched in an overwhelming dressing of some kind. Not great.
There was no ambience aside from a very loud group of americans 4 tables away. It felt quite clinical in there. Overall, an okay meal, but nothing to shout home about.

We were 4 people eating there. The chicken milanese from my friend was alright. I have ordered medium rare filet mignon, which was cooked fully through like well done and therefore I couldn’t eat it and just ate the vegetable and rice, which was supposed to be risotto but was in fact just white rice with cheese. I would have expected if the service does not know what rare means that he asks. In general we waited quite a long time for the food and the food was rather cold than hot or warm. The taste of vegetables and rice itself was not too bad. Seafood pasta was as well not as expected. I agree with the other reviews that the staff was not very attentive or friendly. They did not even ask if the food was alright or if we want a dessert. If you expect to eat authentic Italian food, you better look for another place.

This restaurant shares ownership with Honey Coffee and Tea. both are incredible. The food was amazing and the service is so friendly. Fresh ingredients, amazing presentation, and incredible prices. I’ve been in Banos for 1 week now and eaten every meal out. This is my favourite so far.
