Kind of old-fashioned, but still useful. The food wasn't good. The hotel is reaaaally far away from the downtown. The wifi is the slowest one you'll experience. The rooms are very hot, so asking for air conditioner should be recomendable. The service and staff were great, tho.

I went with my family they sold us the hotel like a five-star hotel it's not even a three-star hotel room so horrible decorations outdated services not enough staff food si bad too.
I wouldn't recommend it we changed our toro and left earlier

The Imagio is just west of El Calafate but they have 11 complimentary shuttle buses per day that take you the less than 10 minutes to town. Rooms are clean and well appointed and have a beautiful view of Argentino Lake with its ever changing colours of water. The indoor pool is clean and has water bubblers and 2 water jets on one end of the pool. You have to ask at the reception for complementary bathrobes to wear between the room and the pool which is just off the lobby. A nice breakfast buffet is included.
Dinner entrees were limited to four and were priced at just under $300 (Argentinian Pesos).
A small but nice bar is located just off the lobby and overlooks the lake.
El Calefate is a small tourist town with many shops and has a large supermarket BUT things in all the stores are relatively expensive. Tourist town with tourist prices.
Ryan's Travel in El Calafate had a good Perito Moreno Excursion with English speaking guide.

Great hotel, just lets itself down with the little things!
Room 210
Firstly, when we went to order room service there was no menu in the room. We rang reception and a staff member arrived promptly with two bath robes? We rang again and a staff member arrived with the hotel brochure of rules, times etc. but no menu! We then went to reception and got a menu ourselves.
The room has only one power plug in it! I know it's a little hard to retrofit power plugs but it's something to look at!
The bathroom shower screen doesn't reach to the bath so water goes all over the floor when you have a shower. This has led to the basin support which is made from MDF warping and expanding. This has also happened to the MDF surround on the right hand side of the hand basin (not a good look)
The hotel offers wifi but if you are in your room it doesn't work! You either have wifi or you don't! If you offer it, it should work in all areas! More signal boosters would probably do the job!

The hotel itself is gorgeous - spacious rooms comfortable etc. but one problem - they do not speak English - at the restaurant this became a major challenge - first ordering a meal then getting and settling the check - I was billed 2 time for the same meal and i haven't been able to get this resolved - I would not stay here again
