There are no amenities. Internet only works from the lobby, TV channel line up is very poor, and it is far away from everything (on average, it is a 45-mins walking distance from/to anything).
Be aware, food is mostly imported from Buenos Aires, so menu seleccions are very limited.
Excelent cook (Juan) and he made the best with what he had. Great service. Pablo and Mariano at the front desk are very friendly and do their best to accommodate your requests.

All the hotel amenities were nice and clean, and the view overlooking Lago Argentino is worth the cost. Finding the place was a little difficult since it's located on a steep dirt road off of the main strip. After a couple of trips to the Park and into town, we finally saw a sign (I'm pretty sure it wasn't there the whole time...).

I also wish there was a little more variety with breakfast. Other than that, it was a good stay.

Pros - the hotel has a very pretty view. It's not that far from town (20 minute walk). And they let guests order lunch boxes to take on excursions the next day. 90% of the staff was great and very helpful.

Cons - the hotel smells moldy and musty. The wifi does not work in the rooms. The walk into town is down a step and gravely hill. And the person who greeted us was not very nice and did not help us with booking excursions or anything despite being directly asked about possible excursions.

Overall, not worth the money.

It is too much to call the place "hotel".
It is a cheap place that rents expensive rooms.
It is far away of the city center, arround 3 Km. You can go to downtown, and come back, only by taxi or walking. The worst part, if walking, is that the last 200 m you need to climb a hill on a country road, no asfalt, where the place is located, with cars driving next to you and covering you with dust.
The rooms have cheap, old furniture, old bathrooms, old carpet floors, curtains, old and cheap everything.
The breakfast is poor, mostly cookies from the supermarket.
I booked and prepaid the room based on reviews and I really don't understand how the hotel got good rates. There are really nice hotels at the main street cheaper than this place.
Soo, if anyone doesn't want to be sad in vacation, for getting a cheap, prepaid expensive room, avoid it!

Room Tip: I recommend to choose another hotel

I visited Calafate, Argentina for the first time and my wife (Argentine) booked this hotel and it was excellent with great views from the rooms. Staff friendly and nice and speak English. This was the first time that I could have a luxury bath being 6' 2" the bath was big and really nice. 30 minutes from town centre and down an unmade road not for the unfit but taxis were cheap 50 peso or so to town centre. The only let down was no wifi from the rooms, a simple fix for the hotel and needs addressing as everyone gathered in the reception area to get connected, not ideal for private skype calls. I would stay again through.
Recommendations:- visit the Glaciarium (just outside town and free bus into centre and back) and enjoy the ice bar for 25 minutes before visiting the glaciers. Other trips can easily be made from local travel agents in town and pick up from the hotel. Must visit for kids is the Estancia farms and enjoy lamb cooked the traditional Patagonian way, sheep shearing and feeding lambs and also Moreno glacier.
