We travel to all kinds of places and yet this was a truly unique spot in which to stay. It is the ultimate B&B experience with wonderful and extensive interaction with the host and his family, who live in the home. Our gregarious and colorful Italian host, Walter, and his sweet Argentine wife, Miriam were more than accomodating with any request, including early morning breakfasts. We ended up having dinner as well most nights because, being Americans, we were used to earlier meals and the convenience of not having to wait until 8 or 9pm for a restaurant to open to have a glass of wine and relax for a leisurely dinner (as well as not having to go out and drive) was really appealing! Walter is an excellent and enthusiastic chef who is flexible with his offerings and responsive to requests. His pastas are fantastic!
The home is as colorful as its host, having been created with an incredibly creative eye and a lot of hands-on finishing. The spaces are generous and every room has unique and many times whimsical details that continue to amaze. The home is right on the water and the lake and mountain views, setting and sunrises are so impressive. We must have 100 pictures of the colorful geese and Ibis birds outside our door. This is not an ordinary hotel or B&B experience.More
