The location of this hotel is great. It's in the main square of the city, waking distance to almost all important places . There are many good restaurants around. It's very clean and comfortable. Breakfast were very simple not to much choices but the ones you had were good.

Not all rooms are the same...we stayed at this hotel different times and changed the assigned room. Some are a bit narrow while others are really spacious and well placed, also in terms of overlooking part of the city (view, noises...). The rooms tend to be a bit too hot at night. For the rest, the hotel has a magnificent entrance, good service (e.g. hairdryer, safebox...) and a good though not so deep assortment of meal at breakfast. The position is unique.

Hotel Salta is well located if you want to get to the touristy area in Salta, yet because of it's location, it's incredibly noisy and you hear cars honking their horns at full blast from 6 am on. Rooms are ok as is the shower, but in general I wouldn't recommend it. Not a lot for breakfast and the quality of the food is not great (both breakfast and the dinner we had there one night). I'm sure there are better options in Salta.

We stayed two non consecutive nights. Both rooms has good views, we had no noise issues, a little dated but clean. On our second night we were upgraded to a suite with a view to the Church and it was much better than the first smaller room. Breakfast was average, a buffet of many different types of bread, one bowl of fresh fruit and limited cereal. The position is excellent, just step out the door and you are on the square with museums, shops and the plaza. Very convenient.

One of the nicest hotels we stayed in during our trip through Argentina. The staff is really friendly and the rooms are good. In he hotel there is a car rental which we used to get a car to drive around the salta area. The location of this hotel is perfect on the corner of plaza de Julio.
From here you can walk everywhere around the city.
If you plan on going to salta, be sure to stay here
