An amazing gem of a hotel in Salta. The very definition of a perfect boutique hotel, full of unique, personal touches to constantly delight.

The rooms are large, with comfortable bed, plenty of interesting art, and a huge barthroom with power shower.

Large pool capturing sunshine and plenty of space to lounge around. Stunning breakfast area overlooking Salta city, and with panoramic views of the snow-capped mountains in the distance.

Friendly, helpful staff, always willing to lend a hand with recommendations and help.

A wonderful place. Highly recommended!

Situated on a hill just on the north side of Salta, this beautiful property provides wonderful views of the mountains surrounding the area and of the city itself. The entire property is loaded with wonderful indigenous art and/or inspired by it. The breakfast dining area has a terrific patio that overlooks the city to the north. And the pool is a refreshing wonder after a day exploring the old town or the area. Everyone on staff is terrific — thank you Rosita and Eugenia for taking such good care of us. And Agustina, what can I say other than that she is extraordinary and one-of-a-kind in the travel/hospitality business. Due to an online booking snafu, I had to connect with the hotel directly to re-book our stay. Because it’s a small boutique with just a few rooms it’s difficult to arrange to stay in the same room when you book at the last minute. However, Agustina did everything she could to make sure we were comfortable and at ease. Communication was thorough, friendly and extremely helpful. This - plus a great attitude and sense of humor really made our stay a delight. Plus - because we had to move to different rooms a couple of nights (which the hotel took complete care of) - we got to experience the diversity and unique character of each room. And each room, while different, was as delightful as Agustina promised.

The jacuzzi tubs in the rooms are the best jacuzzis I’ve experienced in hotels in any of my decades of travels around the world!

BTW - the hotel is really not that far from the old city center. It’s great to walk there and great way to get a feel for Salta. You don’t have to have a car to do that. And the hotel staff can help arrange day tours to the surrounding areas. So don’t limit your boutique hotel in Salta to the old city area if you don’t have a car….stay at Kkala and walk a bit. It will do you good!

Room Tip: Book in advance. Request the Nevada room. This deluxe suite is beautifully appointed with glorious views of the valley to the north.

Nice boutique hotel with a confortable family room although not very large. Great service, good breakfast with nice views. The hotel is bit far from the city center and not too easy to find. All in all I would advise this hotel for who want a quiet location. There is a small pool that I've enjoyed even in August.

We recently stay for seven nights at this very charming well appointed hotel which is a short 10 minute drive from the center of town in an upscale residential neighborhood just down the street from a tennis club. Most of the staff are extremely helpful some extraordinarily so. For example, when we were having some problems with our computer Augoustina was able to fix it for us while we went about our day. Magdelana insisted on taking our rather heavy luggage to our room and to the car when we left as well as offering all sorts of suggestions. All of the staff speak excellent English and are helpful in making reservations and suggestions for outings from Salta. BTW one must go at least to Pumamarca in the north and Cafayate in the south. They are long drives, but worth it.
We stayed in Nevada (rooms are named not numbered) which is a large room with a balcony and jacuzzi---very well appointed and very elegant.
We also booked in advance and paid in advanced where a 25% discount was offered. At $ 150.00 I thought it was a very good value.

So what are the problems. Actually they are rather few, but a bit annoying. We ordered a sandwich by their very attractive pool one day. This was a simple cheese sandwich. When it did not arrive after 1 1/2 hours (not a typo), the person on duty told us he was "very busy." The sandwich never arrived.
While the rooms are elegantly appointed with alot of natural wood, the one we were in lacked a smoke detector. When I asked how expensive these were in Argentina, I was told that they were rather inexpensive. If this were the case in the e US or Europe, I doubt the hotel would be allowed to operate.
While we were there, the owner also was present. She, I'm told usually stays in BA. She is a elegantly dressed women who barely spoke to any guests. While we were playing chess in the lounge, she changed the price list on the honor bar right in front of us. For instance, a gin and tonic was raised from 150 pesos to 230 pesos. Just by way of comparison, we ordered a gin and tonic at one of the more upscale restaurants inSalta, Ma Cuisine (see separate reviews and go there) and paid 90 pesos! No attempt is made to offer a "happy hour" or a complimentary glass of wine..

Having said that If I were In Salta again, I would return in a heart beat. One just wondered if the owner cared whether one was there or not.

Room Tip: Nevada is very elegant with views of the Salta hillside
