Lovely hotel, superb decoration & staff extremely professional & helpful.
We had a great & quiet stay .
The breakfast was very good & with a big choice , even when we had to get our breakfast earlier than the normal hours.

My wife and I stayed at Kkala for two nights at the end of our two week vacation in Argentina. It was by far the best accommodation we enjoyed during the trip. The hotel is located on the outskirts of Salta on a quiet street in a fairly upscale neighborhood that overlooks the city. Although we walked to the city's center once in about 35 minutes, we generally chose to take taxis to and from the hotel...a ten minute drive that cost around 40 pesos (or about $3 US). We stayed in a room named Tolar. Our room was spacious with a very comfortable king bed, Direct TV, a small refrigerator stocked with drinks and snacks, and a safe. We had a jacuzzi quite large enough for two and a large bathroom with a sink for each of us and a wonderful walk-in shower up that provided hot water instantly. The glass wall spanning the room provided us with a beautiful view of Salta from above, creating a light, airy and spacious feel. There was an outdoor pool and deck area directly below our room but we didn't use it because it was a bit chilly. Our stay included a very nice breakfast in a lovely room overlooking the city with a terrace for outdoor dining. The breakfast included healthy but tasty cereals, eggs prepared in any style you wish, a delicious fresh fruit salad, choice of breads and pastries and freshly squeezed orange and grapefruit juices. The hostess in the dining room was a lovely young woman who engaged us in conversation and was extremely tolerant of our wish to practice Spanish. A native of Salta, she gave us much useful information about the city and surrounding area. In essence, she made us feel right at home. The manager was also extremely friendly, kind and tolerant of our less than perfect Spanish. There were a number of indoor and outdoor sitting areas that were comfortable and tastefully decorated. What a fantastic way to end a vacation!

This was our most expensive hotel stay out of the four weeks we spent in South America.

The staff was most helpful.

The room was clean, but oddly configured and as a result cramped.

The breakfast was very good.

We bought an item the hotel offered for sale, but were surprised that we could not pay for the item with a credit card. That's not a big deal, but is something that would be good to know for future guests.

This was not our best experience in Argentina, in fact the most disappointing by far.
Some might call it quaint or quirky. For me nothing really worked well and it is the result of a house being converted into an hotel.
To get to our room we had to duck under a stair case outside. This staircase made the room a disaster at night as the noise of everyone going up and down the stairs reverberated through the room we were in.
Also a shortage of electrical outlets.
The staff were very friendly and helpful when you could find them.

Room Tip: Avoid room Y

Gorgeous design and attention to detail the rooms but a couple of small reservations:
Staff slightly cold on arrival so not the most welcoming reception. However the evening receptionist far more helpful.
Definitely more than 15 minutes from town! more like 30. Was fine for us but bear in mind if location important to you.
Enjoy!
