Everything about this hotel is wonderful. The staff are so sweetl, super welcoming and helpful. The rooms are beautiful and incredibly clean. The breakfast is so yummy and all items are freshly prepared in the morning. You can also order evening snacks and a light dinner if you don't feel like going out. The atmosphere is very peaceful and relaxing. Enjoy your welcome drink in the cost library. The Saltenean wine is superb

Room Tip: El Musico. If you don't feel like being trapsing upstairs. All rooms are beautiful though.

As others have mentioned, this hotel is beatiful and charming. but what really sets it apart is the service. from finding us a great guide (Facundo from Andes Challenge) before we arrived, to checking us in early with no problems, to giving us great restaurant reccommendations. Christian and the ladies who run a surprisingly quality and delicious breakfast and clean the rooms and help you with your luggage deserve a special mention for going above and beyond! We had a great time and felt cared for. Thanks so much for making our stay so wonderful. And yes, do go to Salta whe the Guemes festival is on, its impressive!

We stayed in a Mythical Deluxe Room, the one named La Escritora in the back on the main floor (named for a famous female writer). It is HUGE and has a quiet private patio at the rear. As other have said, this was once the home of a leading Salta family so staying here is a bit of a glimpse into an earlier era of wealth and elegance. The shared spaces and rooms have been tastefully updated to a tee, almost so much so it seemed like we were in a magazine (but what a nice place to be on vacation). Luis Cuellar was especially helpful in helping us to make dinner reservations locally! Thanks, Luis! We took a look upstairs and would have been very happy in one of those rooms as well. There is no "bad" or noisy area as none of the rooms are near service areas. The "deluxe" room was a bit of a splurge for us but it was actually quite reasonably priced for what it was. Its a very easy walk to the town square, church, restaurants etc. Parking was in a private lot down the street. Breakfast was adequate and all staff members very pleasant.

We stayed for a night. The service was impeccable, we were given a parking space right outside. The receptionist also provided an overview of the area, called our rental company on our behalf, printed boarding passes and provided a lovely glass of complimentary wine. The breakfast was good, eggs made to order.

The hotel itself is decorated in a fashionable way and the common areas are vast. Almost a little too vast, they seemed cold and empty without any guests.

Our room itself was also sizeable, but lacked furniture. It could have easily taken a comfortable chair. The bathroom was spacious but getting a little tired, it had discoloured grout and a grotty shower head. For the size, a walk in shower would have been an obvious addition. The bathroom sadly lacked a fan and it left the bedroom smelling damp.

This hotel was slick and a high end hotel. It just lacked atmosphere, although it was of a very good standard, I left feeling disappointed.

I thought I had already given a review of this hotel but something must have gone wrong. Staff charming and very helpful. It helped that they spoke such good English as we had difficulty getting into one of our cases that had been slightly damaged on the flight. The hotel is in a large town house built in the 1920s. Large tasteful elegant bedrooms each named after a hero of the Argentine war of independence. Thoroughly recommended.
