Spent 2 nights as part of a tour group. Very pretty hotel with beautiful grounds. It is located at the point where 3 countries, Argentina, Brazil, and Paraguay, meet around 2 rivers. The hotel is on the highest bank.
It is really, as far as I could determine, very close to much. There is a good restaurant behind the hotel on the river but I had a 20 minute walk each way to find the nearest ATM. (And it was out of money) The next one is a bank that is quite a bit farther in the downtown. There are many restaurants there too.
The hotel has Avery unique outdoor pool divided in many places by above and below water walkways. There is even a secluded 2nd smaller pool behind and a level lower. A large hot tub and small indoor pool is there also.
The restaurant served good food on our only meal there. The buffet breakfast was not so good with very little hot choices.
It was the room that caused me to give this a four star rating. Though it was clean, it was way too compact for my tastes. With suitcases on they stand, you had to walk sideways to get past them. The beds were larger than twin, smaller than double.
We had a nice balcony if you didn't mind the noise and the heat from the air conditioner from not only you room but the adjoining room. I will admit that if you needed to dry some clothing, it worked as well as any dryer.
All in all, it was a fine hotel for a few days stay.
