A great one night stay. We had three single beds, it was all very clean. The carpet was horrible, it needed cleaning or updating. Staff were friendly. Breakfast was poor and it seemed like the baked good wasn't fresh. Good wifi. Ideal location for shopping and restaurants but we were there for business.

Good quality modern 3-4 star hotel. Large comfortable room, good breakfast and helpful staff who spoke good English. Handy to shops, restaurants, plaza and local bus # 15 to/from the bus terminal. Some distance from the river - around 2 km, I suggest you get a taxi.
We caught a Rio Uruguay bus from the bus terminal to San Ignacio, a trip of around 1.25 hours (former Jesuit mission), then walked to the mission (around 1.5 km - a long walk on a hot day - though taxis were available at the San Ignacio terminal).

Room Tip: Good view of the sunset and river from the 7th floor.

This hotel is modern, and just two blocks from the central square in Posadas. Staff is very friendly and speaks, English, Portuguese, and of course Spanish. Breakfast is good, but not as fantastic as in a five-star hotel. .Staff will arrange for you to hire a car with a driver if you want to visit the sites of the former Jesuit missions. (Though, since I speak some Spanish, I got a better deal with a local taxi driver.) The main restaurant is only open during meal times, but the ground floor bar has an extensive menu and is open all day. I didn't check "mid-range" on price because the price of the hotel is low, below what I'd consider mid-range.

After reading complains about the carpet and breakfast, we expected more "hidden gems" at this hotel... Gladly, our expectations were wrong ;-)
Yes, the carpet could be cleaner... The breakfast could be better... However, on a scale of things, I would say this hotel exceeded our, not so high, expectations in terms of facilities and services provided.
RE:LOCATION. The hotel is in the middle of Posadas within walking distance to all major attractions, restaurants and retail district.
RE: FACILITIES. The hotel is quite new or recently refurbished with quite spacious air-conditioned rooms, well-equipped bathrooms, swimming pool and other facilities you expect at good hotel. The carpet is definitively a talking point. I guess it should be replaced.
RE: SERVICES. Due to circumstances outside of our control, we arrived to Posadas one day earlier, It was not a problem for the hotel. Change/upgrade the room... No problem.. Change the payment method... No problem... Arrange taxi.. No problem again.
It was our first, but, I am sure, not last trip to Posadas. HA Urbano is our first stop there.
