We only stayed one night during the under-20 world rugby tournament when the hotel was full of giant young men bustling about, so normally it would probably be more peaceful. The room was very nice although the bed could have been larger. The balcony overlooked a very attractive nice view - a wide avenue with well-maintained gardens leading to a roundabout centred with a very flambouyant monument to someone unknown to me - ie, not the usual San Martin..!!

Although the room was equipped with a small kitchenette you wouldnt be able to cook anything much as it was totally unequipped with cutlery, crockery, or kitchen implements. The breakfast was standard South American fare - could be better - and, although for a change they had decent toastable bread (by which I mean thick slices) there was only one small 2 slice toaster for everyone to share.

The best thing for my money was the very high pressure shower - unusual in Argentina and especially as we were on the 8th floor. The tariff was 500 pesos but with a 10% discount for cash - ie, 450 pesos ($115).

Although this hotel is in a very attractive residential area with beautiful houses and upmarket apartment blocks - sadly the area was very lacking in restaurants and the only nearby one we found was small, didnt display the menu outside, and didnt display its opening times either, although the nearby Howard Johnson hotel said 9pm - and this was a Saturday night...!! In the end we walked in drizzling rain about 3km to, and all around, the city centre and the big plaza but couldnt find a nice restaurant there either - seems they only have cafe type places and "resto-bars" as they are known locally.
