We got there with a small group and arrived just after the last tour of the day had begun. The lady that greeted us, seeing we were really interested in the visit, managed to give us a quick "after hours" tour, with wine tasting and all.

Had a nice free tour here in English with tasting. Very friendly staff and not too far to walk from town. Bought the sparkling wine as it was delicious and cheap!

The wines are ok. They didn't let us try the important wines without a reason though the cashier gave us very good tips

Thanks for your opinion. The winery does english´s tours with a reservation with a couple of days, (you can see this in our webpage), the visit and the wine tasting are free, this included the three best wines of the month.
We do paid tastings that are guided for our oenologist.
Cheers, hope you see you one day.

La Abeja is the oldest bodega (winery) in San Rafael & is located just outside town - walking distance.

The staff are lovely & tell you the story of the French man who came over & set it up all those years ago & the difficult life he chose.

Lots of old equipment is still used & available to see, in stark contrast to the far more modern equipment used at most of the other Wineries around the region.

Well worth the visit & an insight to the history of this fascinating region of Argentina.

The winery is beautiful and has a lot of history. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable, expressive, and fun. We got a tour and tasted four wines. There was no charge...free is great!
