“A Challenge to "Leave the House"”
Reviewed 9 July 2014 for a stay in May 2014

We didn't go all the way to Argentina to sit around and do nothing, but I must admit that Julio's home made made us want to do just that. We managed a few restaurants and tours, but were so happy to get back "home" every day. We even cooked in for two nights, despite the temptation of the fabulous restaurants in town. If you're normally a "hotel person", breakaway from it, and reach out to Julio. You'll cherish the decision. He even came to pick us up at Mendoza's airport . . .and we didn't even ask!

“BEST COST BENEFIT RATIO IN TOWN...”
Reviewed 11 June 2014 for a stay in March 2014

Incredible place, wonderful owner.
If I go back to Mendoza I will definitely book again a stay at Julio's
Quiet neighborhood and close to downtown. Stay in and relax or plan a nice walk to one of those "Confiterias" for some coffee and crescent rolls.
Be adventurous and plan a few visits to the Bodegas de Vino, all worthwhile.

“Great week at "Casa de Julio"!”

My wife and I stayed for a week at Julio's wonderful home the first week of February, 2014. The home is beautifully decorated and has everything that you might need. The house is located in a nice, quiet neighborhood and is close enough to downtown that we usually walked to the plaza area but taxis are plentiful and inexpensive if you have packages or it is late. The home is very safe with an easy to use alarm system. It has a safe but we didn't use it because of the security of the home.
Julio is a delightful guy, with a good sense of humor, and is is very helpful and accommodating in all regards.
The glass wall windows leading out to the patio and garden are very nice and provide a lot of light inside and a view of the garden.. One of my favorite things to do was just relax out on the patio either in the morning or after our daily excursions and afternoon nap before we went out for dinner.
If you want to cook at home Julio has everything you need in his kitchen.
Julio recommended a coffee shop nearby, Cafe Mendoza, that we frequented for breakfasts and afternoon liquados. Tasty! When we told them it was our last day the waiter ran after us and gave us a pint jar of dulce de leche.
If you are looking for a comfortable place to stay in Mendoza you can tell by the reviews that you can't go wrong with "Casa de Julio"!

“A true home in Mendoza”
Reviewed 27 December 2013 for a stay in December 2013

We stayed here for six days as our home base for wine tours, restaurants, and relaxation. Julio, the owner, was a wonderful host and made sure we were well taken care of. The home is also marvelous, with indoor/outdoor living, a place for asado cooking, and plenty of space to lie back and enjoy.
