Torres de Manantiales is a 5-star resort with 190 apartments in two 29-storey towers just steps from the beach, which are an icon of Mar del Plata. Although it is one of the city´s most expensive hotels, it is not luxury at all; in fact, it offers full-service accomodation in a casual, relaxed atmosphere.

We stayed two nights in a great apartment: 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchen and private terrace, with astonishing views of the city and the sea from every single room. It is fully equiped and it is really comfortable and functional, although decoration is simple. Everything worked perfectly and we really enjoyed this 2-storey unit in 21st/22nd floors. Cleanliness was impeccable.

As I´ve said before, it is a full-service hotel, probably the most complete in the city. The towers are in a beautiful residential area, a few minutes from the city´s commertial areas. You will find two restaurants, an outdoor swimming pool, a wonderful bar at the top of one of the towers offering the bests views of Mar del Plata, a few shops, a business centre, a caffe with wi fi access, a spa and beauty center, an indoor playground for kids, videogames, library and many other facilities.

In front of the hotel there is Villa Gainza Paz, a wonderful, old mansion with a charming park where you can find ballrooms and golf cages, among other things.

And, some kilometers away, in the south of the city, there is Manantiales Club de Mar, a resort with private beaches. As a guest at Manantiales Apartments, you have access to the Club de Mar, where you can enjoy the beach, the spa with indoor and outdoor swimming pool, tennis and paddle courts and many acres of woods just next to the sea. You can also choose to stay at the Club de Mar: there are some hotel rooms and villas just on the beach.

Back at the towers, buffet breakfast is excellent and service is perfect. The price is a bit high, but if you can afford it, Manantiales is an excellent choice. If you are looking for traditional 5-star luxury, probably it is better to stay at the Sheraton, the Costa Galana or the Hermitage, but none of them offers as many services and facilities as Manantiales. It is simply great.
