Found this place as a result of Lonely Planet and as promised the food was good value and tasty. We enjoyed a good meal and the menu was quite varied with regional dishes not just grilled food. The only problem we had was working out what to order as it was difficult to understand the menu with our limited Spanish - our fault entirely! Thoroughly enjoy our meal and visit there. Would recommend it fir a no fuss good dinner.

A lot of choice, also vegetarian. A good place to eat a less meat-only oriented meal in BA! Staff were very friendly and the atmosphere was nice!

The design of the restaurant is nice. It is red and cozy. A lot of locals were having their lunch there. The problem was that we had to wait 20’ until they brought to us the food, but if you are not in a rush and you have a book to read or to talk to your friends than it’s fine. Another thing is, there is no wi-fi connection there. As vegan, I could choose only a salad and the gratin made from eggplant and tomatoes, but you should request so they don’t put cheese inside because on menu this dish have cheese.

Visited for a Sunday lunch. Moderately busy. Casual country style decor. The hostess was welcoming. The server adequate. The table bread is surprisingly tasty, perhaps because it’s salty. For vegans, there are a few options, but the menu is limited. Stuffed potatoes seemed popular items ordered by several other patrons. The sweet potato empanada was delicious and sweet. Both the Rustic Vegetables and am hearty Eggplant Casserole were served piping hot in their hot pots, and are good vegan options. The Former was clean tasting with 3 types of potatoes, a small corn on the cob, delicious mushrooms, slices of onions, steeped in a tasty clear sauce. Both dishes were ample sized and filling, priced at 140-150 pesos. The Bread Basket Salad was refreshing and another vegan option, but the bread basket itself is not tasty at all; 137 pesos. No WiFi available. This restaurant is a very good value for the money.

I hadn't been to Cumana for quite some time and went there, recently, with a friend, who had never eaten there.
As a vegetarian, when I go to a restaurant that has more than one interesting item on the menu, I get excited. Cumana had MANY vegetarian offerings. The food was great, large portions, reasonably priced and good service. Even the house wine was good.
Cumana has been open for many years and is extremely popular...
