We stayed as a couple for nine nights earlier this month. This is not the review I expected to write, but here goes with the positive first.
The location is fantastic. Restaurants are close, the area is safe, Plaza Fancia and its lovely weekend craft show are an easy walk. The staff is fantastic from Emmanuel in Sales, Francisco the Assistant Manager, Alan and more. Add the omelette chef who adds to the otherwise mundane breakfast that is so common in South America. I'll mention the expensive, but worth it, laundry service as well that pressed almost everything flawlessly. However, watch the huge shower floor in the suites and possibly other rooms as it is very, very slippery with nothing to hang onto.
Ok, so what is wrong? Bottom line? Understaffed and a grossly overworked housekeeping staff. One night, our room was not serviced until almost 6:00pm and we called down almost daily as it was so late. The housekeeping staff is very nice, however. What gives? Melia knows how to run hotels well and will do what they are paid to do as this property is managed under contract from the absentee owner in Madrid. Yes, Covid has been incredibly hard on Argentina. Yes, the economic situation is poor, but the porteños not only survive, but love life in spite of all of this.
Oh, how I wanted this to be a different review, but honesty compels otherwise. A...We stayed as a couple for nine nights earlier this month. This is not the review I expected to write, but here goes with the positive first.

Oh, how I wanted this to be a different review, but honesty compels otherwise. A final hug and more to Michaela on the front desk who I wanted to adopt as a granddaughter. The staff is fine, this could be a real gem with proper staffing numbers.More
