The hotel was very nice. We had a large studio room with lovely modern bathroom that had a large jacuzzi tub, large shower with hand-held and rainbow shower head, as well as bidet. The restaurant provided a delicious buffet breakfast and the bar provided nice wines andd cocktails.
Our main concern was safety- the neighborhood was not the best. Going in one direction was ok, but going in the other was not so nice. In addition, many cab drivers and tour guides are not familiar with this Alvear hotel - only the Alvear Palace. Be sure to show your room key to the drivers - it has the address and phone number on the back - a detail not shared with us during registration.More
