Owner description: This fashionable, upscale neighborhood is lined with cafes, boutiques and galleries and morphs into a street fair on weekends.

Recoleta is a nice area with lots of big buildings, leafy avenues and upmarket shops. It has a nice feeling about it which makes it feel safe whereas some of the other areas are not so friendly.
There are nice restaurants, pretty squares and parks and the usual cafes and bars. There is also a shopping mall where you can change money. The only downside is it is quite a walk to get to the underground but you can get buses and taxis everywhere. I would recommend Recoleta for a good base to stay if you are visiting BA.

Walking around this lovely area you will find great restaurants, two large shopping malls, and the final resting place of Evita. Worth a good chunk of time to get familiar with the place.

Lovely neighbourhood, great shops, bars, cafes, restaurants and parks... also very safe. Lots of history in the cemetery which is a must do for Eva!

Highly recommended

We went with a guide, but the district is a nice area to take a leisurely stroll around with or without a guide. Some of the architecture is stunning.

stopped with city tour. A guide is a must when visiting here. The history and back stories make it come alive. We visited with a city tour
