I thought the place was pretty good. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food we had was pretty decent and cheap. There was no complimentary tea and coffee but you only had to ask and it was provided. We got the tax off due to being foreign. The rooms however were a little dated and need a facelift. And the lift is very small. Good location and safe. Suitable for a couple of nights. It is also a very cheap place so I guess you get what you paid for. I would recommend it.

Nice location and good room accommodation (despite the kettle was absent).Wifi was good and breakfast also was fine. Hotel's Impression was spoiled by the greedy and unfair policy - 21% Vat was included in invoice despite we are foreigners and paid by foreign credit card. Very unfriendly and greedy step by hotel staff. Hope these extra 21% which we paid make them happy.

Dear Guest,
Thank You so much for booking Viamonte Buenos Aires Apart, and for sharing Your experience with us.
We regret to insist on the point that for claiming elegibility for tax exemption every guest is requested to show passport and the ticket issued by our national Migration Office when entering the country. And by "every guest" we mean each one staying in the room.
Failing to do so, obligues the hotel to charge VAT tax. It is not enough to be a foreigner and to pay by a credit card issued abroad, as our Manager tried to explain You both, at Your check in, and at Your check out. Guests, and the hotel, are required to prove it, attaching to the copy of each invoice, a copy of the guests' passport, AND of the Migration Office ticket as well.
That's why we bother requesting from our Guests passports and tickets at check in for its digitalization.
We offer our sincere apologies for any inconvenience regulations enforced by law in our country might have caused to You, and wish You a safe trip back home.

This hotel is in a central location. The lift to the rooms is small and 2 people and 1 large piece of luggage is about all it could cope with. My room on the 6th floor had a microwave, mini bar, a large bathroom. Breakfast was included in the price of the room and consisted of the normal continental breakfast and fruit.

The staff were very helpful and arranged for a taxi to take me back to the international airport, the cost was 660 pesos for the taxi.

Getting around from the hotel is very easy. It's centrall located and close to 2 subway stations. The desk staff are very helpful.

The room was a bit dingy, and the wi-fi was spotty. They have everything you need though, except ice after the bar downstairs closes.

I really enjoyed the Viamonte, for a single traveler in need of peace and quiet and compfort it was all I needed.
The hotel is quite central to the city, just a street or two away from the Oblisque and other parts of the city.
They offered a nice Buffett breakfast which was nice, but I thought it could have just a little more variety, however for the price it was more than enough. They also offered room service, fresh towels, and a mini bar, 24 hour security which was comforting, the foyer is a bit small, but for a fairly priced central city hotel I could not complain.

Enjoy your stay!

Room Tip: Ask for the best room, the price is fair, might as well, get your money's worth.
