Having returned to Buenos Aires after traveling in the Patagonias, we chose upon staying in this part of town (having stayed in the Centro before, when doing the "exploring" of BA) for our last night before catching the flight home. Seeing a new part of town and also booking this more luxury hotel with points with the free-night option by point from a big hotel-booking site. -> Sileo Hotel: Just as we expected it to be. Marvelous view over the famous cemetery. We chose the superior room just to make sure we got the view. Room was spacious and luxurious! Area around the hotel is more upmarket and has a nice vibe in the evening when young and old get out to eat and drink. Breakfast is good and staff friendly and helpful. Very close to the city airport. Definitely worth paying extra for that view!

Room Tip: Superior rooms have splendid views of the cemetery.

Stay there 2 nights. No complains. It is in the great neighborhood of Recoleta. Near of everything. You can walk around, they have parks, restaurants and shops. The hotel overall is very good. Very reasonable priced and includes breakfast. It is clean and confortable.

We reserved for 4 nights, and extended for 4 more nights rather than following our original idea of trying out another hotel in another neighborhood. We were already in the perfect place! And a tip of the hat to Lucas, our concierge par excellence!

Room Tip: Rooms on the front overlook Recoleta Cemetery, but are somewhat noisy from street traffic. Rooms on the back are much quieter.

The Sileo Hotel presents itself as a boutique establishment but the rooms are dated and lack any personality. Doors connect guest rooms and walls between guest rooms are paper thin so everything can be heard from your neighbors.
Staff is incompetent in addressing issues that may arise, i.e. heating units not working in room or forgetting to send a shuttle for airport pick up.
The only positive is the view of the Recoleta Cemetery but even that is not enough to make up for the unprofessional customer service and lackluster atmosphere of the Sileo Hotel.

Room Tip: Choose another hotel.

Hotel Sileo is near every thing Argentina. Staff and breakfast were excellent. Try and get a room up higher which gives you an overlook of the Cemetery. Yes the Cemetery is quite impressive and should not be missed. There are many sidewalk cafe around Recoleta Cemetery to eat. This is a safe area all day long.

Room Tip: Try and get a room up higher which gives you an overlook of the Cemetery.
