Asado (BBQ) is a culture and an art form here in Argentina and it was simply an amazing tour on the A-Z on how to do it right...from picking the right meat...to the right wine...to how to set the proper wood/coal for the fire...to prep and cook! Highlights included making that secret Argentine sauce that they use here called Chimmichuri (sp) and their special salad with mango and candied pecans that was so delicious they could’ve served it for dessert! They also showed how to prepare the traditional drink of Mate using a piece of hot wood from the fire into the gourd with sugar… It was simply incredible! Overall it was really fun and I met some interesting people and the time flew by…and now I feel like I’ve got some real Argentine barbecue chops to share in the future with my friends back in the States!

Thank you for sharing your tour experience! I had a lot of fun showing all of this to you and hosting you in my private home. The trick of using the hot burning coal for the mate is that this is an old way of drinking mate that is still widely used in the North-East region of Argentina as well as variations of it in Paraguay. I am so glad that you liked it and that you enjoyed the tour overall.

I can't say enough great things! My wife and I had an outstanding day! Frank took us on amazing tour of Palermo and then we prepared a beautiful Asado. The perfect way to experience life in Buenos Aires, away from all of the tourists. Highly recommended!

Thank you so much! I had so much fun hosting you in my home and showing you around the neighborhood and sharing the stories about what it's like to live here, obviously, chatting over some amazing food and having our own private grill master dedicated to preparing your food exclusively.

We had a brilliant day exploring the Palermo district with Frank - and eating wonderful and authentic food with great company. Learnt so much about BA history, walked through 'Palermo Forest' park (the Bienvenidos Jardin Botanico) which was quite beautiful, and saw amazing street art.
Frank arranged our pick up from the hotel and returned us again safely. Highly recommended +++ !!

A unique personal experience of the Buenos Aires Palermo district. We wanted an active, integrated tour, and Frank fulfilled our expectations. The choice of locations, food and wine tasting and historical references gave an indepth knowledge of the community as well as its relationship with BA. The botanical gardens were beautiful, especially with the spring blooms. I highly recommend this tour. It is a bargain, full of memories.

We enjoyed very much the tour with Delfina. The food was awesome and leading us by some restaurants we would never have discovered otherwise. Delfina made every effort to make our tour interesting and enjoyable. She is very knowledgable about historical and artistic facts, and shared some good tips for further enjoying our trip in Argentina. Soon after the trip, we received a full set of pictures that Delfina took of our tour - such a sweet memory. Frank followed up with further detailed information related to the many questions we had about practicalities in the city. Totally recommended!
