Arrived after a very early morning flight from Birmingham Airport, found staff and accommodation to be very good. We had a two bedroom apartment which was next to Lisa and Eddies home. There are the owners. Very very kind staff, always looking out for you, very attentive. The apartments are on the front, so you can sit and have a meal looking out across the small road to the sea. Apartments cleaned every other day, beds and towels changed at the same time. Please be aware that you cannot flush anything but body waste down the toilet. We are used to this as have travelled to Turkey 6 times now, so we come prepared with Nappy Sacks. Food here is good and in line with prices elsewhere in the resort. the spirits we found extremely expensive £10 for a Jack Daniels, Malibu, Gin etc. that is 40TL each so be warned. Efes is 15/20 TL so I went on to Lager and Lime, had a laugh tying to explain I wanted Lime in my Lager, they call it Lime Syrup over there. Lucky for us we bought 2 Ltrs of JD at the airport on the way out. Had done all the trips on previous visits. So we went to Bodrum castle on the bus. Take the bus outside apartments to the bus station, then you need the No.6 to Bodrum, takes about 45 mins. The castle is down the front, well worth a visit, it is 30TL to get in, not 30 Euros as someone put on Trip Advisor. All in all a great holiday, we had the pool to ourselves some days, never got up to reserve a sun bed, always plenty. We stayed from 28th July to 11th August 2016. Would we go back here, definately but not straight away, have Olu Deniz in my sights for next year, but one day we will go back.

A fantastic self catering hotel and restaurant. Good size rooms with a nice bathroom with a shower cubicle, with glass, (none of those plastic curtains). The water temperature is easy to control and doesn't vary. The best shower I have abroad for a long time.
They supply you with your first toilet roll, then it's up to you to supply the rest.
The little stove with two rings looked a bit dodgy, so I didn't use this. The power did go off a couple of times too, and this affects the water supply.
The kettle is a decent size though. You need to take a dish cloth, tea towel and washing up liquid. The cups are small so you may want to take a couple of mugs.
The air con is in the lounge and not the bedroom, but if you leave the bedroom door open at night it's enough to keep the bedroom cool. They like the payment for this in Sterling and its £5 a day. The safety deposit boxes are by reception and £3 day. They replace your towels and bedding every other day. You only room service every other day too. The rooms are lovely and clean and well looked after.
The pool is deep at 6foot or 1.7 m it doesn't have a shallow end, but there is a separate bit on the side of the pool which is shallower. There are plenty of sunbeds, and whilst we were there nobody rushed out to put towels on the beds.
The restaurant offers a good selection of food, some people may say that it is expensive, but the food I had was nice and you are well looked after. Not all the staff speak English, but with a bit of miming and interaction you finally get over what you need. They love you to try and speak Turkish and they help you learn more, we had great fun learning more Turkish.
The hotel is about a 40 minute walk from the main town and the roads aren't great and it is busy. There are mini buses every half hour for 4.50tl for 2 people, they pick you up right outside the hotel.
The staff are very friendly and it was a pleasure to stay there.

We had a lovely time. The accommodation, although basic, is clean and functional. The kitchenette is a 2-ring hot plate, fridge, sink and cupboards (only improvement I would suggest is a toaster!) The food from the restaurant was great and the staff were really welcoming and attentive. A big thank you to Yilmas and Celebi who we will remember fondly. We definitely hope to return in the future.

Many thanks
The Trimble Family :)

We had a fab holiday. Special thanks to all staff esp Mercan. They are all friendly, rooms are clean, large and hotel is child friendly. I love family run hotels like this one. I do strongly recommend this hotel if you go to Yalikavak. The grapes in the garden are delicious :)
