31st July – 14th August

Always like to do review when I get back from our holiday each year and really looked forward to writing this review
First of all one of the best resorts my family and I have ever stayed at. After reading some of the earlier reviews before we travelled I now see why some families return again and again.

Arriving at the hotel

Quick and simple in getting our room keys. Helped with our bags to our room
Room
We had a top floor family room for 4 of us. Fine in size and very clean / modern. Great balcony and fantastic views. Plus we could sit out there as the sunset before going off to dinner
Cleaned every day and the Maid was fantastic

Pool area

My daughter loved it. There are 3 swimming pools (one for adults only). Two slides in the main swimming pool which get turned on for around 30 minutes three times a day.
Lovely little pool bar run by a great bunch of guys. Have to say a big Hello to Ali (the bar supervisor) and his team as they could not make you feel anymore welcome and Ali made my daughter feel really special with his nice children cocktails
Local drinks are all inclusive but if you want branded spirits then you have to pay extra which is fair enough considering how cheap it is to stay at the hotel per day
Plenty of sunbeds but like most resorts if you get down too late you won’t get the spot you want
My only negative is that the area around the pool can be slippy (due to the water of course) and I would recommend the hotel put more red grip matting down like they have leading up to the slides

Food court

Clean and tidy. We thought the selection of food was great and always something different to try. Local food and also UK style food. Even a little bar in the food court so you can have a choice of beverage with your food
In the afternoon there is a smaller food are by the pool bar where if you are still hungry they make hamburgers, pizzas and chips

Entertainment

The first night we were treated to an acrobat show and it was amazing. There is also normal things in the evening like mini disco for the children, bingo, karaoke and competitions
Hassan the entertainments guy was good fun and was a good laugh around the pool in the day and also in the evenings
Loved playing the darts competition in the mornings and meeting other guests who also joined in

Shop

Little shop on site to by ice lollies and other little bits like crisps

Town centre

The town of Hisaronu is around 5 minutes away in a taxi. The taxi’s get to you very quickly and it costs around 5 pounds to get to town. The town is great for shopping, has a large supermarket if you require any bits and some great restaurants. I highly recommend the restaurant called “My Way” which does the most amazing food and the staff are really friendly

Summary

A great hotel and we thoroughly enjoyed the two weeks we were there. Would we go back….YES we would and we are planning to go again next year
Look forward to catching up with Ali and his team again and to enjoy the relaxing sunshine again

This hotel is geared around families and people who want to relax, it is not a party style hotel

You do hear some people having a moan around by the pool and that’s up to them. During the day you hear the local mosques having daily prayers and one customer had the cheek to complain about this…. HOW RUDE !

The hotel clearly makes your holiday but it’s the staff that make the hotel!

We have been on a few All Inclusive holidays in several countries in recent years &, whilst I agree with many of the negative observations mentioned by other reviewers, I do feel that 1 out of 5 is a bit harsh as the hotel does have quite a lot going for it. That said, the standard of cleanliness, limited choice of food & even more restricted drinks options (4 or 5 alcoholic drinks & no cocktails) doesn't justify higher than a 3 out of 5. The hotel could have done with a few food theme nights or put on more international dishes but instead mainly seemed to cater for the Turkish clientele. However, the choice of salad was plentiful & we never went hungry.

Having read the recent negative reviews on Trip Advisor, we were filled with a sense of foreboding when we arrived (not helped by a 5 & a half hour overnight flight delay) & the room did nothing to allay our fears.

Part of your overall holiday experience is formed by the people you meet & we enjoyed meeting Dan & Craig (whose reviews are below). However, they were obviously luckier than we were in terms of their rooms because ours (1105 - on the ground floor immediately behind the water slides) was dark, tatty & badly in need of an upgrade, particularly the tiny bathroom, which was grotty. The cleaner rarely seemed to change the sheets/towels or actually CLEAN the floor at all & there was an old, soiled mattress left in the dirty corridor outside our room the entire time we were there. There were also an assortment of used glasses & plates left on the low wall outside which were only occasionally removed.

There was insufficient wardrobe space in our room which meant that our sons had to live out of their suitcases for two weeks. In addition, the handle of one of the wardrobe doors was missing, the toilet roll holder was loose, the bedroom lampshade was filthy & the curtain was coming away from the rail. We also had to ask reception to send someone to repair the shower head, which was coming away from the wall, although to their credit, this was done very promptly.

On the other hand, the location of the hotel is beautiful, with very attractive walkways & lovely mountain views. The infinity pool in particular, which was set back up a terrace from the main pool & much quieter, made us almost feel like we were in a 5 star resort.

We also liked the main pool area when we went there & usually managed to find a sun bed although it was much more cramped & the music, whilst varied, was a bit TOO LOUD at times. We enjoyed the pool activities when we joined in & felt that the staff kept the area as clean as possible, which wasn't always easy, given the amount of people in the area. However, the two sets of stairs leading up to the pools were not cleaned very well at all.

The evening entertainment comprised the usual sort of things; a children's disco, quizzes, various dancers & bingo & was ok, but nothing more. We opted to sit in the covered area to the side of the bar most evenings as our kids are older & happy to stay with us. There was also a games room with bar football, pool tables & an air hockey game although I never saw this being used.

My wife & son had a Turkish bath & enjoyed the experience. I visited the fitness room several times, but the rowing machine wasn't working properly & another two machines broke during our stay. Also, the electric socket to the running machine was dangerously coming away from the wall.

We used the shuttle bus to go down to the Blue Lagoon one day, but as others have observed this is NOT the beach on the spit of land shown in all the photos of Oludeniz, but a bit further around the bay. The beach here is divided into a few fairly cramped sections with bars & restaurants behind. The sun beds are NOT free & the food & drink is a little pricey although the water is absolutely beautiful & you can hire pedallos & canoes - we even saw a turtle. However, the journey back was not for the faint hearted as the driver packed as many people into his minibus as he possibly could (it seemed to be shared with other hotels) but still left several people behind!

Whilst we were unlucky with our allotted room (& cleaner!), the rest of the staff, particularly in the bar & restaurant worked very hard & were always courteous & friendly. The entertainment team, Jade & Hassan, are also worth a mention.

We weren't expecting the Ritz for the money we paid, but for us the hotel is definitely let down by the poor standard/cleanliness of rooms & limited food & drink choices. If these are improved & a few of the older rooms completely gutted & revamped, this hotel could be so much better.

Perdikia hills turkey lovely place set in mountain surrounding's room was lovely from the outside but tiny inside wires showing through wall's crap shower can pee harder.now on to the food and drink food was very average for an all inclusive and you normally have wait in line for the main meat or whatever they were serving plus a guy who I think was the manager putting meat on your plate like a dinner lady was a disgrace was never enough put out straight away for people to help themselves. But the bar staff were great and had a lovely ifinity pool up at the top away from main pool which was peaceful and spent great times up there at the mini bar but for an all inclusive holiday 11pm bar closes then u have to pay but I suppose I'm used to 24/7 bars and snacks but we still enjoyed time out down in hisaronu eating in good restaurants like the sunset resaurant go see jimmy he will look after you and the pina coladas are class but had a great time anyway so that's it roll on mexico next year back to sandos carocal 24/7 heaven

Well where shall I start the entertainment was amazing we absolutely loved Hasan! He let us join his entertainment team and made our holiday so much fun. Jade was also good particularly with her crazy frog dancing.

We made some great friends and the atmosphere was fantastic. Special mention to Ali, ekran and Rambo as they were extremely funny and always made us feel welcome. The rest of the bar staff and lunch staff were equally as great.

The rooms were very clean, towels were refreshed, beds were clean couldn't ask for much more. Pool was also very clean and empty glasses were removed promptly.

Food was fine, if you are expecting English food this is not the case there is plenty of choice.
Only improvement could be wifi.

Would love to return and I hope the entertainment team and bar staff and catering staff remain one more special mention to hasan he really did make our holiday.

Love dan(simon) and sophie.
