We stayed as a couple here in early June along with some friends . I will be honest in my review ! I have put in a complaint with Thomas Cook as so disappointed with our stay. ( as have many others ! ) This hotel is advertised as a quiet , peaceful hotel and it's not !! every day there is music blaring from the bar at the pool . We arrived at about 3am and were hoping for a lie in ! No chance, music blasting out from around 10am , this goes quiet when the reps are due to visit ! There is absolutely no service from the waiters so be prepared to get your own drinks. The drinks are very limited and the vodka wasn't that great ( if it was vodka ! I heard another couple saying he had stomach problems and he was sure it was the vodka ) The only time we ever got offered a drink was when the 2 thomas cook reps were on a visit . Glasses are never cleared away from the pool area and seemed to sit there for days, along with plates ,
Take good walking shoes as the floors are very slippery ! The worst bits are in the dining room and around the pool . I witnessed one lady slip over in the dining room one lunchtime, another guest helped her up and the staff stood around , the chef simply shouted no problem madam because a plate had been broken , none of them offered her any help or asked her if she was ok.
The food is very basic, bland and very repetitive so we ate out a lot . Chips appear every day , even for breakfast . I have visited Turkey many times and this was the worst food I have tasted in any hotel that claims to be 4 star. I would say 2 star maximum . I heard several people complaining about the food , one made us laugh saying 'same sh** , different day ! ' bluntly put but very truthful . The rooms are ok but there is lots of noise from the bar at night so you don't ever get a great night's sleep . Air con is noisy , when you turn if off it drips water on your bed so you either sleep roasting or buy ear plugs ! The bedding is rubbish. Normally abroad we just use a cotton sheet but here you have an itchy blanket or a cover that is not comfortable on the skin .
It's about £14 per week to hire the safe , these are small and no good for cameras etc. The beach isn't their beach . Don't go as you have to buy all your food and drink from a cafe there and the prices are well over the top . We refused to stay there and the guy on the beach was quite rude .
I complained to the rep who was called Josh ! He admitted that there had been noise issues at night but did nothing to help us move room or hotel .
We would never recommend this hotel to anyone we liked . It is poorly run and needs sorting out in many areas . This hotel could be stunning with decent food, good service and staff willing to smile without you lining their palm with money , everyone likes a tip but life should not be ruled by it.
Pick another hotel !! we heard the Yel resort down the road was very nice .
