First of all I cant believe what you get here for the price. Beautiful surroundings and views, lovely hosts, fresh bread in the morning, free bicycles, local wine from the next door neighbour and near to Tomar where there is an abundance of history and things to do. Adega Cottage was also in the process of building a swimming pool (also with an outstanding view) when we stayed in May. I cannot recommend this holiday let enough. I will be back again for sure!
Thanks to Steph and Pat for making our long weekend incredibly enjoyable.
Stunning setting,Lovely warm helpful hosts. Fantastic local produce to cook in wood oven (including some veg from our hosts own garden. Great way to explore the village lifestyle and wonderful countryside we hoping to
move towards. Will
definitely be back:)
My boyfriend and I stayed for a week at the end of February, we were looking for somewhere peaceful with good access to best rock climbing in the area, (Reguengo do fetal, Redinha) and initially looked at staying in Tomar center for the castle, but so glad we found this place a little further out as it was stunning!
The cottage had everything we needed, clean and comfortable. We loved wandering the private woodland and olive groves and the fresh bread in the mornings.
We had heard about central Portugal's pristine river beaches so we visited just a few out of the many. Our favourite was cycling to Agroal, a natural aquifer, to bathe in the healing water, which was wonderful, as our skin was just so soft!!
We were pleasantly surprised with how much there is to do in rural Portugal. We will definitely come back to explore all the river beaches, climb and relax!
