Took awhile to find as the driver didn't know where it is.

Location is bit far from the main shop but there's enough around the same road to explore, mainly restaurants and bars, hotels, clothes and massage places.

As you walk in, there's someone at the reception but there seems to be no main manager of the hotel.

I had my own room, big, clean and spacious and it seems it was a great place once but in need of repairs. That explains why it's $50 aud per night but it's good for couple of nights stay.

The AC was not working well and it was quite hot around Oct, by that stage I was somewhat acclimatize but it's still hot so we made use of the pool . The pool was old but still ok although, it needs a shade when the full sun is out, it gets too hot.

The shower wasn't draining well, so you might be showering on puddle of water.

The next day we got taken to white sand beach not far from the hotel but we took a small boat out. One of the hotel staff, also runs a day trip to the island. Day rip means, he'll just pick you up and drop you off no food included. The beach was nice and clean but not as nice as gili air big relaxing nonetheless. We had whole fish each and it was delicious with fresh mangoes it was heaven.

The restaurant is not bad, good nasi goreng with drinks will set you back around $20-25 aud.or you can wander down the street and find other bar and restaurant make sure you bring insect repellent with you.

The hotel behind serves good food and better ambiance for also reasonable price.
Because there are so many accommodations that faces the beach around that area, I probably opt for those. There's not much to do there but complete relaxation.

Again this review only applies to the restaurant.
Having been a regular over the last 10 years to the restaurant we again went for a special occasion.
We were the only ones there but it was offseason.
Service was slow not their usual standard and we virtually had to call the staff for attention, not what we have had in the past.
Staff seemed more interested in their own conversation.
This restaurant unfortunately has slipped it should be one of the best in the area.
Menu is still very good and they had a spcial Beer bucket well priced.
Our meals wereof a good standard but probably also slipped a little but not too much.
This review I hope is taken in a constructive nature we will continue to support the restaurant but a life in service is needed.

Mosquito paradise! Spiders in the bed! Don't be fooled by the pics on net. Doors not secure. Restaurant has a French influence, we were the only customers and didn't feel welcome. Food served cold. Very open grounds and found a man sleeping on a deck chair outside our room by the pool at 530 am. I was awake due to the buzzing mosquitoes! Left early never to return

Dear Madam,
We do apologize for your unpleasant stay in our hotel.
We did provide mosquitos spray and reppellent in the room, but it might be not enough due to the hot weather. We will pay attention on it.
Thank you for your inputs, we will definitely try to fix things and present the best for our customers and guests.

I was stay here for a night with my family , we arrive about 9 pm, it's little bit difficulty to call the hotel to ask about the parking area. The beach too short, no access at the beach. The breakfast was fresh, fresh juices, french cuisine restaurant, nice pool.

Thank you for your review of our hotel.
Thank you so much for your advice, we will pay attention to that small detail on parking area access. As for the beach, the access that we have is a little small fisherman beach, however, just 10 minutes from our hotel, you can access that same beach, they have the public access beach, where you can relax and have picnic with your family.

Nevertheless, we are happy that you enjoy your stay in our hotel, and that you enjoy the breakfast and dinner in our hotel. We hope to see you and your family again on your next visit to Candidasa. It was a great serving you sir...

August 2016 : We decided to stay 3 nights in Le 48 before going to Gili Trawagan. And It was such a nice place that we decided to come back after for 2 more nights!
The room was so beautifull, so spacious, so clean, maintened, with Air conditionner, and terace !
We loved the inside shower so big, and the second one outside! So perfect!
The beakfast was so nice every day, fresh juice, eggs, toasts, coffee, fruits and banana pancakes.
They have a very good restaurant, we ate there a few times, the chef cooks dinvine! And the best thing that we had, was the service. The staff was so nice with us, so carefull, so kind.
The garden and the swimming pool are very nice!
We recommand this place to everybody, really!
Thank you for everything, we enjoyed our stay at Le 48 so much!!
