This was our second trip to the Heritage after going in January 2010. Having never returned to a hotel for a second visit we were a little apprehensive in case it didn't live up to the standards of last year. After landing in Goa and making our way to the minibus our worries disappeared as we were recognised straight away by Gaynor the Thomson rep, and were on the same bus as people we met last year. On arrival at the hotel we were met by Sofia and welcomed back, it was like going and visiting relatives. There were a lot of the same people staying at the hotel that were there the same time last year, so you always had someone to sit and have a drink with!
Rooms have been updated since last year and it is a definite improvement with the safe now being in your room. Drinks being brought round the pool is also an added bonus, even tea and coffee. Snacks have also improved, but would someone please fix the door at the swim up bar, the constant banging in the afternoon drives you mad. I did request something to be done while we were there, but it only lasted a day and then was back to the bang.
Our room was maintained by Shakker, who never failed to put a smile on my face with his towel art, and even did a welcome back poster when we did an overnight trip, nice touch!
I would also like to pass on my thanks to Blossy and James for rescuing my husband when he forgot to book the Mango restaurant for our anniversary and they managed to accommodate us at very short notice, thank you very much.
The hotel is off the beaten track, but that is part of it's beauty. You can walk down the lane toward the village and watch the pigs and piglets in the forest, or walk the other way and you are on the beach which goes for miles. If you are looking for lots of beach shacks with plenty going on then this is not the place for you. If you want tranquility with a very slow pace of like then this is the place to be.
With so many returning guests to this hotel I think that is the best advertisement, as so many people cannot be wrong. Go and enjoy as we did and you will have some of your best memories ever.

Firstly, please ignore all negative reviews about this hotel and location. This hotel offered beautiful scenery, outstanding food and service and such lovely, friendly, warm-hearted people. They all worked so hard throughout my stay this last week. Arossim beach is absolutely stunning and I was very sad to leave it. Met people there who have been going three, five and one couple eleven years and are on there eleventh visit!! I think this speaks volumes about the hotel. A couple said that each year it's a family reunion with British and Indian people. My holiday was so good that on my last day, I have already booked for next year but with a friend this time. It was the most relaxing and rejuvenating holiday ever with such amazing weather. What an escape to get away from crap English weather! I'm cold now! VISIT!!!!!

We stayed here for Christmas and New year 09/10 and loved it so much we returned for 10/11 and have already booked to spend Christmas 2011 there! This is a really great hotel and it's no wonder many of the guests return year after year. The grounds and rooms are clean and beautifully kept . The food is excellent, especially in the A La Carte restaurant - the Mango Terrace which you can use twice a week. The staff are attentive and friendly and nothing is too much trouble.
Returning this year we were pleased to note that waiter service is now offerred by the pool and that individual safes have been fitted in the bedrooms - two great improvements.
As previous reviewers have noted the hotel is fairly isolated but if that's what you want this is definately a good place to stay and the taxis aren't too expensive if you do want to go out.
One tiny criticism!! - The Wifi is expensive and not terribly reliable. Travelling with a teenager, a laptop , two I phones and also needing to work myself, internet access was an essential!! The prices are clear to see but please don't expect it to be free or always working.
This hotel is a credit to the General Manager Mr Guitry Velho, his care and attention shines through. we can't recommend it highly enough. ENJOY!

This was our second stay at the Heritage Village and from the moment we were greeted at the airport by Gaynor, our Rep from Thomsons it was as if we had never been away. We were given a very warm welcome back by Sophia in the reception and we were amazed at the number of staff who remembered us. If anything the Heritage Village was even better this year, the service was up to the expected standards, the quality of the food was excellent and the choice was amazing. We were surprised to hear some complaints from other residents, one complaint was that the walk to beach (300 yards) was not through gardens, another involved the lack of choices for children which suprised us as the kitchen will provide good alternatives on request, to be honest we felt that some people were just looking for something to complain about. The service by all the hotel staff was excellent and nothing was too much trouble for anyone and it would be unfair to identify any particular member of the staff as they we all eager to please and ensure we had the best holiday experience possible.

The facilties at the hotel are excellent and the Mango Terrace made my birthday celebrations a night to remember, the flowers and card from the hotel along with a cake and champagne were a lovely suprise.

Sunbeds and parasols were in abundance and the new beds are very luxurious and comfortable.

We are already looking to return next year and can now understand why the Heritage Village has people returning year after year.

we were there for new year, great place but no e mail of my photos for new years eve, very dissappointed. didn't know until the night before we left you had to order them well in advance. great place great staff and customers were great fun, except for the russians who were rude to staff and very drunk falling over people and breaking glassess in restaurant . the first choice rep was superb, loves her job and that came through. was a bit remote but beach shack was good(great chips) just round corner a fab place to try, takes a long time cos he cooks everthing from scratch, just order an hour before your'e hungary, well worth the wait. will return.
