If you want to have good french cuisine, at a reasonable cost in Goa, then you've got to try out Baba Cafe. What sets Baba Cafe apart for me is that it is put far away from other cafes, almost as if it were an island that could not be found except by those who already know it’s where it is (we had discovered it scooting around randomly back when it was Baba Au Rhum).

But what really sets it apart is that you get GOOOOD french dishes, with real goood ingredients, minus the hoopla that usually comes with any commercially inclined French cuisine cafe/restaurant. I imagine, since I haven't been to France, that this is how the people in the French countryside (or probably even in Paris) enjoy their outings to cafes, that is, without the extravagant pomp and show associated with French cafes here in India. P.S. I also think they have the world's best orange juice! Really! :p

We had heard and read a lot about this place and guess what? They're all true. It's a very quaint little place with wonderful food. The ambiance is all set for a relaxed quiet time, exuding comfort and coziness. We had heard that they served the best latte in town,we couldn't compare but the latte was superb in its own right. We had the most wonderful buttery melt in the mouth croissants with pesto and Mozzarella in homemade bread. Everything tasting healthy wholesome and home made. The owners also provide vehicles for rent. We are especially thankfully to the owner for he came all the way to the outskirts of the city to deliver a wallet that we had left in the helmet compartment of a scooter we had rented. Very sincere, helpfull amazing human beings making one of the best fares in town. What more can you ask for? A must visit cafe if you're in Goa.

Sumptuous breakfast in a relaxed manner. Restaurant is a bit off way but found it pretty relaxing.

Service was good and nice people.

Had a delicious mushroom and cheese omelette with cappuccino.
