Owner description: Hidden Valley Wines offers spectacular wines, breathtaking views, olives and olive oil, an award-winning restaurant, charcuterie & cheese platters, picnics, a nature trail and art. Join us 7 days a week. This secluded farm nestled against the Stellenbosch Mountains, boasts a magnificent cellar among its pristine vineyards. Although the winery is a state of the art, gravity fed cellar, it is nestled into the side of the slope and intended to blend back into the environment in time. The building materials, namely stone, wood and glass are purposely selected to present a contemporary yet functional structure. The cellar is surrounded by vineyards, olive groves, almond orchards and natural vegetation, each occupying an integral part of the farms’ ecosystem. Sustainable agriculture is a common theme in every approach both in and outside the cellar.

What an amazing little wine estate. Small compared to most in the area but absolutely stunning with views down the valley. If the weather is good, you can see Cape Town. They have 5 wines, 2 white, 1 rosè and 2 reds. There is platters available at the tasting room, a restaurant for more veriaty of meal and a Deck overlooking a dam. It is a true Hidden gem in the Hidden Valley

Bertus Basson promissed to serve the best burger in the area. Shame! Our burger was a stinky one! The meat was not fresh and we could smell it - the restaurant manager also
could!. Bad quality! He offered comensation. No, thank you man! Monday of course! Maybe a problem for the restaurant. Never again!!! Go to Somerbosch, you will get there a fresh and lekker one!

Wow what a stunning venue! Such a lovely lunch. Rustic and with only 2 things on the menu but the food was well prepared and the view absolutely amazing. Well worth a visit especially on a lovely summers afternoon.

Easy to find as there are about 4 vineyards on the same route. It's true to its name as it shows a hidden valley. Did the wine tasting on a big verandah which was conducted with great enthusiasm by Meghan which ended up with us having a cheese and charcuterie board with wine,it's very relaxing and no rushing. There is of course a restaurant which needs to be booked and also an eating place called the Deck, which overlooks a dam(small lake) and the picnic lawn. Wines are different in as much that they have corks which is so unusual these days. Food and wine good

We had a great day out at Hidden Valley, started with the wine and chocolate pairing and then went over to the deck for wood and more wine of course. The burger was delicious, one of the best burgers I've ever had in my life. End the day with the nature trail which was a good way to walk off all the food and wine.
