We are a high end tour operator that specialise in privately guided trips and E&E look after all our guests in Cape Town. They are most definitely our go to people. Their flexible tours are something of a revelation... imagine having a vehicle equipped with everything that one could want (for both mountains and sea and your tummy!), an excellent, knowledgeable guide and just heading out and making the best of the Cape! Pure bliss.
Set tours are so tricky in Cape Town, with the weather (in particular the wind) being slightly unpredictable... so having this incredible flexibility coupled with 5 star service, is so refreshing.
They always go the extra mile for our guests.
To date we have not had one unhappy experience - quite the opposite, they all rave about their Cape experiences.
So thank you. You guys just know how to do it properly. Heres to many more trips together!

Escape and Explore consistently provide the best guides for the wide range of activities that they offer in and around Cape Town. Whether they take our guests surfing, hiking, on an S.U.P around the waterfont or wine tasting.... or all four options in one day...we never fail to have our guests respond that they had a wonderful, wonderful time.

My two year old daughter and I spent a fantastic day with E&E in August 2016! Keeping a two year old entertained, engaged and having fun isn't an easy task but their guides did just that and more. We started with an easy bike ride down the beachfront promenade, stopping along the way to inspect the incredible public art that adorns Cape Town's Sea Point promenade - my daugher loved climbing up and over the life sized replica of Nelson Mandela's glasses and I loved learning about the history behind the art installation (they look out to Robben Island as he would have looked back to Cape Town while in prison there). Just one example of how the guides made the day fun for both adults and kids! We then spent some time exploring the V&A Waterfront, including a pirate ship play structure which my daughter loved. We had a delicious picnic lunch at the Kirstenbosch Gardens and then spent the afternoon exploring this amazing park!

I can't recommend Escape and Explore enough - the guides were fantastic and John, who drove our van, was also amazing and way, way more than "just a driver" - he has such an incredible and inspiring life story as well which he humbly shared with us.

We were looking forward to have a special day. Especially because we received a detailed description of what to expect delivered at our hotel reception. In detail they described a wonderful day of private excursion with hiking to see shipwrecks, wildlife and hidden coves, seeing the penguins on a secret -not known by tourist- beach, lunch in a typical restaurant, a sunset in a vineyard and more. Also our 2 kids (12&16) looked forward after reading this promises. But unfortunately nothing of that all  Our guides said that it was not possible to deliver because it was high season (December) so what did we do : a tourist walk after we need to pay 500ran extra to go in the cape point (no shipwrecks or hidden coves or wildlife), lunch in a nothing but typical restaurant, seeing penguins via a very busy tourist spot (no hidden beach) and no sunset because we were dropped back in our hotel at 5pm… The guides were very defensive when we asked something about this and said that this was all not possible due to high season… But only the day before they’ve made the promise for this, on paper, such an nice day. Simply not honest. We complained and received a not defined discount for a new tour in the future…. Don’t think so… Be aware when you book with this organization. We did excursions with many organizations during our stay in this fantastic country and this one was the only one who was very disappointing.
