“The reviews are all true - it is the best hotel in Capetown”
Reviewed 14 September 2012

There's no point in repeating all the good things about 2inn1 that all the previous reviewers have said except to say: Yes, it's all true! We spent 5 lovely days at 2inn1 and now we know what it's like to have top notch personal assistants. Because that's how Steffi and Claire, as well as the rest of the staff and the owners, function. They tackle all problems with gusto - small or big. Some personal examples: when the Robben Island ferry cancelled our long held reservation, Claire immediately swung into action and got us a new reservation - for that very morning! When I had a problem with my half of the mattress, Klaus and Steffi immediately tore the bed apart and inserted another duvet underneath and worked some other kind of magic. When there was a taxi mix-up around the time we had a dinner reservation, Klaus insisted on driving us himself to the restaurant.

What we especially liked about all the staff was that although they were always professional in manner, they were also casual, warm, and approachable. There is nothing snooty about them.

We chose 2inn1 based on trip advisor reviews. Now that we've stayed there, we would never consider staying anywhere else in Capetown. In fact, we only wish we lived a lot closer so we could visit more often.

This was one of the very rare decisions, when I decided not to take a Hilton Hotel (like I normally do), but to look onto tripadvisor's home page and to take No 1 suggestion. Even the email traffic all around reservation was quick, informative and helpful, I ordered a room, and they asked me soon afterwards if they should arrange anything (like airport transportation, some events as table mountain eg) advance for , just to avoid any bad surprises in long queues etc. The welcome was friendly, honest, attentive and very personal, never had a welcome like this We were brought to our room, that really was perfect equipped, absolutely clean. Everything is designed in a lovely and authenthic regional manner. The breakfast leaves you without any additional wishes, you might get really everything you would decide, brought to you by the owners themselves (who are always present as well as Steffi and Claire, the managers). You can always ask everybody, and they will assist you immidiately. The suggestions for trips and restaurants are always top, and just when you decided to go there they will make the booking or reservation for you without any further notice. Nearly the whole staff ist there from the early beginning, which gives a strange idea of the overall atmosphere. The place is safe, even you might not need him, but the guard is on duty every night. Do I really have anything to complain for? No, perhaps 1 thing they could improve for me in future: an additional hook in the bathroom for my toiletry kit,. Coming back in future? Definitely, and I truly hope that they will have a room for me, because 2inn1 deserves being No 1 in Cape Town!

We're a family of 4 and booked a regular room for the kids and a superior room for us. Stayed 4 nights.

We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, all the team made sure that we were well looked after. On arrival in cool Cape Town, the underfloor room heating made the room cozy, just what was needed. In a previous guest house we'd arrived into a freezing room and spent an hour getting the heating working.

The room and bathroom was so spotless that we asked whether anyone had ever used it before! Apart from the bed being comfy, there were great little touches that make a great impression. Adaptors for plugs in the rooms - no need to ask - free drinks in the evening, the local mobile phone, offer of a late checkout - no need to ask - etc etc. To us, the service was great and the breakfast great but it's the little things that make a difference and nothing was too much trouble.

What I hadn't appreciated from the previous fabulous reviews was that the location in a peaceful residential street is very close to Table Mountain and that the views from the superior room's balcony was so fantastic.

A fabulous guest house, thoroughly deserving of its status on Trip Advisor, I cannot imagine why anyone would wish to stay anywhere else.

Ian

This place is just magic! It goes beyond all your expectations. The interior design is extremely modern and sometimes audacious and the staff is extraordinarily helpful and kind. We couldn’t ask for more: beautiful room, complimentary drinks, real coffee machine, a mobile phone with the most useful numbers already in the contact lists, happy hour… Definitely the best boutique guest house we have ever experienced. Great breakfast, garden, swimming pool and a laptop at your disposal for free Internet access: the only drawback is leaving the car in the street, but there’s a night warden keeping it under control. The place is strategically located to both Table Mountain and downtown. Absolutely recommended!

Our evaluation is straight A`s all the way!!!! It isn`t just the great and cozy rooms (with floor heating, free drinks at the room fridge, great bed, etc), or the wonderful breakfast, or even the included sundowners at the hotel that astonished us the most, but the outstanding people and service! Once we arrived we f eltlike as if we were in a close relative`s home. Everyone was so helpful and friendly that we feel like we`ve made some real friends in South Africa. We hadn`t organized any activities in Cape Town, but just as we arrived one of the owners received us and gave us all the tips we needed for some wonderful days. They booked us every activity, meal, cabs and even lent us a local cell phone so we could call our cabs from where we were. The only bad news about the hotel is that we can only find it in Cape Town! We were just hoping they would spread worldwide!
