We had originally wanted to go to La Colombe but decided to try the Pot Luck Club as the tapas style appealed and we were so glad we did book ahead from England.
The food was superb and so well presented. Very clever in that you think you are not getting much but each dish is so different, we had 7 dishes between us and felt full afterwards.
The sweetbreads would not have been my choice but my husband loves them and I have to say I really enjoyed them as well. The lamb dishes we had were excellent as well.
It is very trendy and the staff are really passionate about the dishes, explaining everything as it arrives. Our server was very busy and we asked another colleague a question and she said she couldn't answer as she was training! She did however go and get our server who was really friendly and insisted on ordering us a taxi and then had us escorted to it when we left.
Great range of cocktails - loved the elderflower and cucumber martini.
Our only one complaint was the poor lighting, we could not read the menus even with a tealight on the table! Resorted to mobile phone light! Felt stupid until we saw everyone on the next table doing the same!! We all laughed - great atmosphere as everyone seems to be there to enjoy the food and have taken the trouble to book well in advance.
We were amazed with how reasonable the meal was in terms of price.Wish there was one in London! But bet it would be 3 times the price!
