“Good location and friendly owners”
Reviewed 17 February 2011

We spent a couple of days at the Verona lodge. We used 4 of the 5 available rooms and all were charming and clean, with en suite bathroom, frigo bar, coffee maker and free WiFi. The owners, Lea and Shane, were friendly and helpful. Very good breakfast served in the small garden. Good location, in a residential street, at reasonable distance from city center and V&A Waterfront. The price is very reasonable for a great offer.

Very nice location, quiet and really familiar. Lodge is at the corner of two streets virtually without traffic. Nice, spacious rooms and great hosts. Lea and Shane will you feel to be at home. Shane will tell all what you should not miss in Cape Town and around. Good breakfast in a delicious little garden. Good cost for value.

The en suite room we had was just fine for our needs. The 3 star B&B has five rooms so feels intimate, particularly as the owner are very friendly (and unstintingly helpful). Location wise it probably is best for easy access into down town Cape town as well as getting away from it all (down to Cape Point).).

I stayed here with my girlfriend for two nights and we both liked it a lot! Shane and Leah organized a taxi that picked us up from the airport and brought us to Verona Lodge. Shane met us at the door very late at night which was definitely nice. The room made us feel like we were at home and having breakfast in the garden in the morning was great too! Shane recommended a hike up Table Top Mountain which we both enjoyed very much. Excellent Hosts!
