Villa was perfectly situated for Camps Bay, a15 minute walk downhill, 20 minutes back uphill, not for those who have difficulty walking, having said that Uber taxis excellent and only 20 rand from camps bay(£1.20 ish). Rooms clean and well maintained, cleaning staff very curteous. Recommend taxi to V&A or city centre as 6k. We used uber all time, very cheap, as there were 2 couples we did not bother with local buses. Although there were water restrictions we had no problems at all, swimming pool was covered over but when we asked this was removed and cleaned. Not a pool for long distance swimming! but ideal for cooling off. We had pool to ourselves the days we used it, 6 sunbeds so no problems. Our room overlooked the 12 apostles, very quiet small supermarket 100 metres away. The only thing we found was (being alcoholics!) supermarket did not sell wine or beer, Camps Bay one didnt either, we had to go to main one in V&A waterfront to purchase wine etc. but this had nothing to do with the guesthouse. Camps Bay, lots of nice restaurants, we travelled end Feb, we found they closed up around 10pm so if looking for later openingtimes you will have to stay around V&A or in city centre, or travel. We purchased wine and then located to balcony or lounge area of guesthouse and completed our evenings. Full kitchen facilities were available in guesthouse, which we did not use. We were 2 couples travelling together, 1 couple in 60’s and the other in 50’s. One thing to think about, we booked with Booking.com, payment was taken as 10% when booking, 40% 4 weeks before travel and balance when we arrived. We found that due to the changing exchange rates this added £135 per couple to the cost of the booking (yes I know that this could have gone either way) but maybe pay for booking all up front to eliminate this. Having said all this we all had a great stay and recommend this guesthouse to others.

Despite being a short uphill walk from the beach this place is situated perfectly. Lovely private balconies and excellent room. The owners were so helpful in finding things to do and recommending restaurants and the staff was very friendly. Perfect start to a honeymoon!!

This was the first place we stayed in on our 2 week trip in SA. It was quite easy to get to from the airport (c.30 minute drive) and had good parking outside. I can slightly see what people mean by the imposing entrance but we didn't feel put off by it and it's basically just standard South African security measures (i.e electric fencing).

Inside it was simple but did the job. We had a clean room and bathroom, and were asked to collect the water from our shower to save it for their garden, which we didn't mind doing at all. We got a free bottle of wine which was a nice touch and we enjoyed drinking that on the communal balcony which had a decent view of the ocean. We also got free bottles of water each day which was useful given the water shortage.

We didn't use the pool but it was decent sized. In terms of location, we thought it was pretty good. Very close to a great restaurant (The Hussar Grill) and literally 30 seconds from a small supermarket as well. It's 10 minutes walk down into the centre of Camps Bay and about 10-15 minutes up and over down into Cape Town main. We felt relatively safe and walked back in the dark a couple of times.

Staff were friendly and did a good job, and the communal kitchen areas were clean. Overall our experience was good and we'd stay again if we went back.

Room Tip: We had a room on the back side of the property. It was quiet but didn't have a sea view.

Good value and as expected from my previous trip here. Will use again for quick stops on business trips. People working there are friendly and helpful; place is kept clean, and decent afternoon views from the guest lounge. Close to Camps Bay strip (with a cheap Uber about R20 or so) to get to restaurants bars and beach... which are the best in the country :)

Room Tip: Sea facing rooms have nicer/ larger balconies
