This was our second trip to Kruger National Park and the 4th Rest Camp we have been to. As was the case in all the others, this one is well maintained and comfortable. We stayed in one of the Safari Tents. The weather was perfect (temperature wise) so air conditioning was not needed. I could see how it could get uncomfortably warm. The Restaurant was very good and the Service Excellent. SANParks really does have it together.

We stayed in one of the safari tents which has a really large balcony/stoep with basic cooking area. Fridge inside because of the baboons.

We had a torrential storm but the tent didn't leak! functional shower, handbasin and loo and always kept very clean.

A small camp with basic restaurant, there is a walk - take about fifteen minutes - into the bush but within the camp.

A clean, comfortable and good value for money rest camp. Whilst fairly basic, the staff are very good and the highlight had to be that I had the best steak in South Africa here in the small no-frills restaurant (and I have had a few). A camp that fulfils all basic needs.

As always the camp site is very basic but the facilities are always clean and functional. But why o why can't SAN Parks learn how to maintain a swimming pool. Hot day love to go for a swim but too frightened I might catch something if I went in the water. Par for the course though as have never found a SAN Park pool up to scratch. On a more positive note it is true, you can hear the lions roaring at night.

We stayed in Russell Cottage with friends for two nights. What an unexpected surprise this was!! A detached property outside the gate which offered two bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms. It has been beautifully restored in period, lovely bedsteads ,beautiful bed linens, stunning drapes and luxurious bathrooms along with a wonderful stoep for relaxing and dining. There is also a gazebo outside and a braai area with great views across the valley. We all loved it and have to congratulate San Parks on having the vision to restore this lovely old house into something very special indeed. I would highly recommend a stay here.
