Having stayed at various lodges before, there is nothing that even comes remotely close to this experience. The accommodation was out of this world, as was the service by our own butler and Janus who arranged all of our excursions. Nothing was ever too much trouble for him or the staff who looked after us. Every day was action packed with whatever we wanted to do and specially arranged for us.
The food was also 7 star and our thanks has to go to Roy, the chef, on all of the different meals he made which were out of this world. I don’t know how he and his staff coped when we had dinner in so many different places, some of which were remote within the game reserve. The staff were there when you wanted them, but were always in the background to assist whenever something was required. The owners of the game reserve, Dave and Audra, joined us for dinner on some of the nights we were there and they both made our stay even more remarkable given the wonderful and entertaining hosts that they both are.
Probably one of our best experiences was sleeping out in the bush one night, enjoying the stars, the animals calling out to each other and seeing the sunrise. It is an experience not to be missed.
