Really interesting tour that included all three major attractions: Mandelas House, Hector Pieterson museum (Soweto student uprising) and visit to a shanti town. We have two guides and they were both born and raised in Soweto. Don't miss this if you go to J'burg.

Very informative tour of Soweto in the pouring rain but Simon, our tour guide, made sure we did not miss out on anything. He provided umbrella's and even arranged a mini tour within a tour with one of the residents in the shanty town.

Guides were incredibly knowledgeable, welcoming, friendly and had a great sense of humour! My crew and I (of 50 in total) had a great time with the tour guide exploring Soweto! We highly recommend this tour for all visitors to South Africa!

I rated this tour excellent because it provided us an insight on humanity and hardships of black peoples in S Africa. It is amazing how people can live in such harsh conditions. Families have no running water and sewage system. Residents tap electricity as seen by the messy cable crisscrossing above their roofs. Yet many have satellite dish. You need to be there and guided to appreciate the situation. We were shown Mandela house which is turned into a little museum. The area around it is a tourist attraction and many capitalised on a piece of history to set up stalls and restaurants.

A great way to see all sides of Soweto as well as get an understanding of the historical significance of this Community. Our guide Simon was the perfect combination of knowledge (he seemed to know everyone) and humor. Well worth the time and expense
