Nestled under giant oaks in a Cape-Dutch style building, it is hard to believe that you are not in the Winelands but in the heart of the City of Gold. The ambience and unique setting already scored huge bonus points but we were not adequately prepared for the culinary delight that was to follow. Olives, sundried tomato, artichoke - preserved and presented with the finest herbs and spices. Vegetable cannelloni, grilled hake in a dill sauce, homemade balsamic glaze with a hint of berries. The desert was to (literally) die for. Baklava - the best I have ever tasted, homemade cheesecake, phyllo pastry parcels with Lindt balls - need I say more? A culinary delight - my tastebuds went to heaven.
